Seriously amazed by the towing capacity, and I don't think in anyway Tesla can even come close on this one ! It would be interesting to see how Ford continues to take leadership on this segment amidst disrupting factors such as electrification and autonomy.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk just unveiled the company’s first electric pickup truck, also known as Cybertruck, at an event in Los Angeles, California.

Tesla Cybertruck Is A Pickup From The Future Now; 0-60 In 2.9s, and willl get up to 500 miles of range and start at $39,900.

The Truck can withstand sledge hammers and bullets, but not metal balls thrown at close range.

The truck will come in three versions with 250 miles, 300 miles, and 500 miles of range, respectively. And it will start at $39,900, Musk said. The truck won’t be rolling off the assembly line until late 2021

This design belongs to the weird and wacky modification section. Common we did not expect this!. I fail to understand what ballistics has got anything to do with a pick up truck.

Even the bat mobile looks better .

I am glad that this will never come to India. Price, performance and range are great but that thing is ugly.

Elon mentioned in an interview that it will be polarizing and if many people does not like it, they may release normal looking pick up truck. He needs to do that as soon as possible.

He did mention about it in his speech. The body of the truck is load bearing stressed member and hence the use of a special steel alloy. Ballistic and impact resistance is just a by-product of the strong steel body.
And BTW, the shattering of the glass was so funny and made a fool out of himself on stage. He would have never thought his armored glass would break so easily.

It's an... Isosceles triangle!

Blade runner esque and will be deeply polarizing. Personally I love it in a "it's so bad it's good" way. Imagine driving down a dark rainy Mumbai street and seeing one of these in the rear view mirror!

Is this a JOKE? After designing such sexy cars like the Model S & 3, they come up with THIS . Sure looks like something that was designed by an 11-year old with just a ruler & pencil. Or a new car manufacturing country like Bolivia. I understand the need to be "different" and to stand out, but this is just crazy. It's pushing things a bit too far.

Me thinks that Tesla just hurried this up & was under pressure due to the E-Mustang & Rivian's sweet looking designs. Sure must be a party today in Rivian's offices!
