LED DRL are more of a style/posh statement in India. Unlike Norway/Sweden/Finland, with as much sun as we get in India, they aren’t required.

But steel wheels, no indicators on side view mirrors and no fog lamps? That’s a holler. Even my 5 year old Punto has alloys & fogs.

I was initially very enthusiastic but given the launch prices of EV’s, rudderless policy etc., it seems the country is at least 8-10 years away to have a realistic go at them, i.e. for them to become mainstream.

Nissan is considering assembling the vehicle at its Oragadam plant to get the price closer to INR 30 lakh

the normal Leaf comes with a 40 kWh battery pack that offers a range of 270 km, the Leaf ePlus gets a 62 kWh battery pack with an extended range of 384 km (WLTP range).

Nissan Leaf gets a 110 kW motor (equivalent to 150 hp) with 320 Nm of torque and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds. The battery can be charged to 80% in 40 to 60 minutes with a 50 kW quick charger, it takes around 7.5 hours from alert to 100% with a 7 kW charger

For India, Nissan would likely bring down the regular Leaf as the Leaf Plus will push its already high price tag higher.
