Default Laureti DionX EV SUV prototype: Claimed 540 km range, rumoured to be manufactured in India

https://www.lauretimotors.com

https://m.economictimes.com/company/...L2018PTC330089

Came across this website. Never heard of them but seems like they will be making some big complex electric SUV , the DinoX.
As per website, 540 km to a charge..

Seems bit of a stretch given the size and weight. (by looks at least, doubt it is made of carbon fibre or Aluminium).
As per website a Tesla sedan does less range.
Also they want persons to drive the Dinox from Leh to Kanyakumari.
Any one from Team Bhp attending it.
Grateful if people in the know can throw some light on this company and product.

Did some quick research -

- Laureti DionX is still in prototype stage
- 540 km range
- Battery warranty of 100,000 kms
- Self-funded right now, but looking for investors
- Likely to be manufactured in India, but founders are Spanish/British

That's the only real point I guess.

What has made me very suspicious is that they claim BIG with zero results or efforts to show for it currently. Looks nothing but a shot at catching some atttention and investments IMO.

Here are some excerpts from the Autocar Professional article - http://www.autocarpro.in/news-nation...km-range-41722

Quote:
Marcus has confirmed with Autocar Professional that the state government of Puducherry has been assisting it for the past 14 months for the new facility, which would come with an investment of $370 million (Rs 2,568 crore).
Quote:
According to Laureti, the valuation of the company is heading close to GBP 110 million (Rs 976 crore) in the coming financial year based on the design, technology, market share, brand share, current IP assets, prototype asset, and the management team.
And all they seem to have in terms of results is a fancy press release and a simple website? But magazines seem convinced! Evo India says - https://evoindia.com/laureti-automotive-flagship-suv/

Quote:
And no, this is not a far-fetched dream. The SUV will be launched this year and would be available to the customers before the end of 2021.
Quote:
Though not much is known about this London-based component manufacturer, with an office in Bengaluru and an intention to have 1,00,000 charging station by 2020, Laureti is sure to take our market by storm.

Seems to me like a 'startup' focussing on niche luxury SUVs for high net worth individuals looking at their offerings and special bullet proof cars etc.

Laureti India seems to be registered in Bangalore and Directors seem to be from a principal Princeton Ventures.

Does anyone feel that the side profile design is inspired from BMW? Or is it just me?

In my eyes, it is more of a Porsche Cayenne. And the rear is completely botched up.

Looks like Laureti may set up plant in Karaikal(Pondicherry).
