So, fifteen days remain for official unveil of Nexon Ev.

If you see the video carefully the test facility seems to have some accidental or maybe some crash-tested Tata vehicles Zoom the image for needful. (screenshot attached).

While if you try google search with ”robot steering” lot of links come up this one I found to be interesting :

https://www.vboxautomotive.co.uk/ind...ot-integration

As per the link :

Driving robots for steering and throttle/brake control are often used in vehicle testing and development where the test procedures call for absolute consistency that a human driver cannot perform; and also in cases where the manoeuvres are not considered acceptably safe to have a driver at the wheel, or are extremely difficult to carry out.

In 2017, Jaguar Land Rover approached Racelogic and VEHICO with the desire to perform a barrel-roll of their new E-Pace car, similar to the stunt originally carried out in the 1974 James Bond feature film “The Man With The Golden Gun”, in which a car is launched from a ramp, spinning through 270° before landing wheels-down.

It seems it's a test of steering related feedback may not be directly related to Lane assist per se.

re: Tata builds a Nexon EV. EDIT: Launched at ₹13.99 lakhs

Some of the videos it looked like, its a FWD car. There's no reason for a ground up EV to be FWD. On a related note, you have to give to TATA for coming up with these funky nomenclature. Ziptron isn't a technology, its just a funky name for a EV drive.

Video about Robot Steering is out. No clarity about what the Robot Steering actually does, is it just a steering stabilizer (just like the ones on high performance bikes) or more?

It's seems it's for testing the steering related mannerism as suggested by this link :
https://www.vboxautomotive.co.uk/ind...ot-integration

And Tata videos also points to the same.

How do you know? Their website mentions that existing Tigor EV doesn't use Ziptron.

re: Tata builds a Nexon EV. EDIT: Launched at ₹13.99 lakhs

Seems from YouTube videos Tata Ev Mobility, has shifted focus to it's Facebook page, while we can safely assume that Ziptron will not be the same as electric tigor.

re: Tata builds a Nexon EV. EDIT: Launched at ₹13.99 lakhs

With MG Zs Ev launch done now. The focus of the Ev enthusiasts shifts to ”Tata Nexon Ev” it seems firstly we had the costliest Ev Hyundai Kona, then MG Zs Ev (expected to be priced lower than Kona) then Tata Nexon Ev. While their prices reduce the range also reduces. I am sure by Auto Expo 2020,we would have much lower-priced Evs or in other terms the mass EVs.

Meanwhile,Tata Motors Electric Mobility Facebook page is very responsive and in a series of replies it does provides some insight into Tata Nexon Ev :

• It will have Ziptron Technology
• A certified Range of 300 km
• Price tag 15-17 Lakh
• Q4 launch in 2019 (17th Dec 2019)
• Ist quarter availability Jan-Mar 2020

Further, if we have to sum up Ziptron technology :

• Efficient High Voltage System
• Zippy Performance
• Long Range
• Fast Charging Capability
• 8 year Battery warranty
• Rigorous testing of 1 lakh million km has been done
• Battery comes with Dust and Waterproof rating IP67

This image was shared on WhatsApp. Apparently, it's an Autocar scoop. No other information. Probably from a launch trial ad.
