5. No night driving and no headlights 6. windows closed or very little open for breathing alone. No drag due to open windows 7. No aircon or even blower is my guess 8. tyre pressures pumped up to reduce rolling resistance This is purely an academic challenge with no real world use. It is for marketing and bragging rights sponsored by MG. | |

I wonder how much INR ACI made on single page of print in the magazine thanks to MG sponsorship for this article. ![]() I don't know why - but this article reminded me of those funny news of the last decade where some mechanic in a sub-urban town managed to extract 120km/L from a Hero Honda CD100SS etc. ![]() |

| ![]() The driving conditions would naturally be tweaked to extract the maximum juice in order to create a record. So don't see anything wrong there. This is just a marketing stunt. But a commendable feat too. If they can come out with a full video, it'll actually provide tips to keep the car going when you're low on battery power. Autocar has posted a report on their website and they're clear that it's just to test the limits. Autocar Report Last edited by coolkurt : 25th February 2020 at 11:10. |

| ![]() Nice to see MG selling 158 units in a single month. MG and Tata are aggressively marketing their EVs. Hyundai though has a great product, they did not bother to market it. Their target itself is to sell very limited quantities. Hyundai also has a problem of limited battery supplies from LG Chem and they want to sell as many in EU to meet the CO2 emissions regulations target from this year. MG does not have any battery supplies issue as their supplier CATL has enough capacity and MG has separate a joint venture with them. Declining Chinese home market sales means they will aggressively target to tap outside market. |
