| ![]() Charging stations with eateries on the Bangalore Mumbai or any major highway will come up when the number of electric vehicles increase. Like how there are Kamat/CCD attached to Petrol bunks, similar thing will definitely come up for fast charging of EV as well. It is just a matter of time. |

| ![]() around 1.5 days, they stopped multiple places and planned everything, but got into an issue of earthing on one of the charging places and had to run around. It's doable but requires lot of pre-planning. An ather owner has even taken this scooter to Vijayawada and beyond as well, an extreme exercise but it shows to what lengths aficionados will go to do things. |

| ![]() ^^^^ Houses on highways can now have the sign : " ELECTRIC CHARGING AVAILABLE " and charge ( money) for letting such hapless adventurers charge their bikes. Add a cup of chai and you have a good business idea ![]() |

| ![]() There will be a charging-station aggregator in India soon, and why not? Logistics companies, 3rd-party delivery services, hotel aggregators, co-warehousing companies, offices realtors, hotel/motel/dhabbas and showroom owners, there is no dearth of real estate. For most Indian cities, towns and even villages, they have atleast one branch of an automobile showroom on nearest highway to the city. They can then be listed on platforms like OLA Electric or OYO who can direct traffic to them depending a lot on the reviews. Industry players should agree to a charging standard and create a holding company like Ionity where either voluntarily or by government mandate everybody (included fuel retailers) has to put some money into it. This could be the case for expensive 50kW or 250 kW fast charging network. |

| ![]() MG reveals official charging stations list ahead of ZS EV launch To start with, MG fast charging stations will be available only in in the five launch cities across India. The ZS EV will also be available for sale only in these five cities and the same list will be expanded depending on demand. Also, Safety features on the upcoming MG ZS EV will include a safety cage for the EV battery ( this should alleviate some fears), six airbags, rear passenger seat belt reminder, pedestrian alert system, Hill Descent Control (HDC), Hill Start Assist (HSA), ABS, ESP and Isofix child seat anchorages. ![]() 1) The red boxes are battery pack bolting points in the body and the respective points on the battery cage. There should be similar points at the back as well as the sides. 2) The green box is for the coolant connection to the battery pack. 3) The orange is the electrical connections. 4) Underbody already seems well coated in some kind of black stuff (epoxy?). Its there everywhere except the mounting points where you can see white body colour paint. ![]() 5) There seems to be a "conventional looking" ECU inside the bluebox. Wonder what all it controls?! ![]() 6) The motor Orange arrow and the gearbox Yellow arrow. Those are loong drive shafts!! ![]() 7) The gearbox (yellow box) due to its narrow width looks like a direct drive reduction gear and a differential, simple and best. They do not need clutch or a coupling mechanism of any sorts. Org video: | |

![]() Even if charging stations do come up near petrol bunks and roadside restaurants, it will be difficult to match the demand. I can imagine long ques with anxious faces. It would be almost mandatory to call up the stations to make sure that they are working (and book 'que token') before you start your long trip. | |

| ![]() Ahead of the launch, the ZS EV was spotted parked and connected to an in-home charging station. It was spotted in a modern society in Gurgaon (which also happens to be the city of MG’s Corporate Office). Source |

BHPian ![]() | ![]() Here are some pics I clicked of the test mule! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Seems like it doesn't get a headrest for the rear centre passenger. Gets a 3 point seatbelt though. Another omission seems to be a rear armrest. The test mule also had no sunroof whatsoever and what looks like fabric seats. The dashboard design is similar to the Honda City's. The ICE screen also seems to be a large one in keeping with MG traditions ![]() Apologies for the poor picture quality. I've clicked them on my budget smartphone. Cheers! |

| ![]() Alloy wheel design does not suit this vehicle, MG should consider putting something more classy on the EZS. The current design looks like generic glossy black on machined aluminium aftermarket types which was in demand a few years ago. |
