| ![]() Is it wishful thinking to expect the EV version would be more proportionate in the front and (especially) rear? This is going to be high VFM if its 5-7L below Kona!! |

https://insideevs.com/news/341712/hy...tem-explained/ Consumers should reject EVs that come without active thermal management. They drop range drastically after a year or two, lose value and bring a bad rap to EV adoption.

| ![]() It's interesting to see how two serious launches have shaken up the entire segment and forced non starters, who had a great first mover advantage, to wake up and offer something more meaningful. Better late than never though. The XUV 300 has great dynamics, it just wasn't worth the price. With the EV, they get to slot it higher, and if they can deliver on the range, its a sure shot winner. |

The 5 year old Creta currently outsells the XUV300 3:1 ! Simply being good enough to compete will not cut it for the consumer. Either make a far better product or price it considerably lower. Otherwise it will end up in no mans land, a trend clearly visible with the likes of the XUV300, Marazzo, Alturas etc.

| ![]() Its great to see EV options blossoming at such a fast pace. I believe its a matter of a decade or so before EVs start outselling ICE-Vs in Urban India. Assuming the e-XUV 300 retains the safety/build of its ICE sibling, it would be the safest mid-market EV in India. Will also await warranty details - a good indicator of how well the electric drivetrain is engineered. Meanwhile, Tesla and Nissan (Leaf) are missing the India EV bus in a big way. |

It has blacked-out A and C-pillars, while the B-pillars are finished in grey. The Mahindra eXUV300 is powered by a 350 V powertrain. | ![]() Mahindra's high voltage systems are not production ready yet. This can be seen from their absence in bidding for the electric buses, using a Rimac powertrain in the Pininfarina Battista and from the smoke and mirrors around the XUV300 display unit in Auto expo. The last known timeline for the launch was second half of 2021 for the XUV300. I wouldn't hold my breath for it in the near future. I am happy to be proven wrong. |
