Valvoline is offering fluids for heat transfer, drive systems and brake fluids. The company has also launched a special grease for electric vehicles. The products are said to solve issues surrounding battery temperature variations, powertrain performance, brake system corrosion and seal bearing failure.

Valvoline claims that the new range of EV fluids help optimize the overall performance of the vehicle and also increases its lifespan.

They had better brace themselves because EVs simply don't need lubricants & fluids the way that petrol & diesel cars do. The bread & butter business of the servicing industry - engine oil change - is gone in electric cars!

It will be a huge irony if Electric Vehicles still need dino oils for their running and upkeep, especially because EV owners like to call conventional vehicles "Fossil Cars".

So any self respecting EV manufacturer and its owner should only use "Group 4 or 5 fully synthetic" grease and oil in the transmissions and the wheel bearings and even for greasing the door hinges.

Do not use WD40 either anywhere on the car!
