Henrik Fisker teases (or accidentally posts) pic of upcoming Alaska Electric Truck

Quote:
With just three words, another pickup truck seems to have entered the electric fray. Henrik Fisker, the CEO of Fisker Inc., tweeted out and then quickly deleted an image of a new truck called the Alaska with the words “Electric pick up!”.A Fisker spokesperson confirmed to Car and Driver that the tweet was unintentionally sent by Henrik and was quickly deleted.

In the age of wardrobe "malfunctions" and alleged affairs between film stars just before upcoming movies, I was reminded of this

For all those who might call me crazy, here are the steps required to send out a tweet with media

1) Tap/click compose
2) Choose camera/gallery
3) Click pic / select image
4) Write tweet text
5) Click send.

Accidentally?

Am not a tweeter -- but playing devil's advocate:

Could it be an issue at step 5?

For example right at the last step Instagram gives you an option to post to your public page/story or to a particular friend as a private/direct message.

Nope.
On twitter you choose at the beginning, if it's a tweet (public) or a DM (private).

Re: Henrik Fisker teases (or accidentally posts) pic of upcoming Alaska Electric Truck

Fiskers's Truck Alaska concept makes debut, CEO calls it the Ferrari of "pickups."

Reservations for the Fisker Alaska opened this evening with deliveries taking place sometime in 2025,

Fisker's new all-electric pickup truck shares a platform with the Ocean SUV and features a smart design.

The Alaska will get up to 340 miles of all-electric range along with some unique features, including a “big gulp” cupholder and water bottle, an extendable bed that goes from a 4.5 feet to 7.5 feet with the push of a button, and various cubbies and storage bins, including one for a cowboy hat.

Fisker promises that the truck will be the most sustainable in the world, from material to production, and the lightest all-electric pickup truck that can travel about 230~340 miles on a full charge, but there has been no mention of a specific battery pack size yet. The CEO also claims that this truck is equipped with the world's largest cup holders and a second row of cowboy hat holders mounted on the roof. The brand's "California Mode", which lowers all windows, will also apply to Alaska, including mid-gate bed windows.

Prices will start at around $45,400 before federal incentives are factored in, with the expected retail price expected to drop to around $37,900 for entry-level models. The production target is December 2024, but the CEO noted that "people" are targeting the first quarter of 2025.

The Fisker Ocean EV SUV is currently being built at its Graz, Austria, plant under a contract with Europe's Magna Steyr, which manufactures custom models from various manufacturers. After Ocean's global launch, around mid-2025, there are also plans to partner with Foxconn to produce the Fisker Bae EV SUV in the United States. In an interview with CNBC last month, Fisker hinted that the new ocean-based model would be produced alongside the ship in the U.S. with Foxconn, but he didn't specify at the time that it would be an Alaskan pickup.
