The updated Hyundai Kona appears to retain its headlight setup. It has slim LED daytime running lights and headlamp clusters positioned lower down on the bumper. The car could get a reworked front grille.

The Kona could get a revised rear fascia with updated tail lamp units and rear bumper. The test car seen in these images has black cladding around the wheel arches and is riding on 5-spoke alloy wheels. The car also has roof rails and a shark fin antenna.

The Kona Electric could also get the same updates as its petrol-powered version. In India, the electric SUV is offered with a 39.2 kWh battery that powers an electric motor that has an output of 134 BHP and 395 Nm. The car has an ARAI certified range of 452 km on a single charge.

The refreshed Kona gets a new front fascia that gives it a wider stance. The sleeker look is thanks to what Hyundai terms as a shark-inspired nose. Hyundai has also teased the sportier N Line variant of the Kona crossover. It has three vents on the top of the grille and appears to have a different front bumper.

We had earlier reported that Hyundai is creating an EV sub-brand called Ioniq. Under the new sub-brand Hyundai will offer a range of electric cars including the Ioniq 5 mid-size SUV, Ioniq 6 sedan and Ioniq 7. These cars will be based on Hyundai's electric global modular platform (E-GMP) and will have fast charging capability.

The Kona is no bad looker in its current iteration but this facelift render looks even better! Wonder if it gets better interiors, fitting for its price tag. The ICE needs an update, especially since the Creta set a higher bar.

I like the look for the current Kona, it is more futuristic.
These spy images look like the next gen i20. The gear leaver is there instead of the buttons like in the current Kona.
In my view one step forward two steps back.

Konas with internal combustion engine get gear lever. Only electric variants of Kona has button shifters which will be carried forward in the face-lift as well. The photos above are of an internal combustion variant.
