Re: Delhi announces Electric Vehicle incentives of upto Rs 1.5 lakh

As per a sales agent at SAB TATA. the 1.5L rebate is available for sub 15L vehicles only hence not enjoyed by MG or Hyundai Kona. Even for Nexon the LUX is over 15L hence the same would not be applicable. The registration of EV is stopped in South Delhi since last few days for better clarity.

Not sure if this is true or made up by sales person (trying to push for mid variant than top variant) due to inventory positions.

Re: Delhi announces Electric Vehicle incentives of upto Rs 1.5 lakh

Delhi government’s plan to transfer subsidies for buying electric vehicles (EV) directly to the bank accounts of buyers within seven days of the purchase is going to start very soon. According to Delhi government officials, the software developed to allow this direct transfer is ready and is undergoing safety tests at present.

Delhi govt suspends subsidy on Tata Nexon EV for 'sub-standard' driving range

This is a huge news for TATA as this article touches upon the trust factor. Interesting to see how they are going to respond back.

Yes, ofcourse, penny saved is penny earned.

Reviving this thread so members may suggest/share an update if the subsidy is still available in Delhi/NCR (apart from the 80EEB tax on loan)
I have been getting mix replies from both TATA and MG team. They say it is there however from what I have read it might be over as intitial volume of exemption vehicles have been achieved.

Would anyone in Delhi who has bought/nooked an EV recently share their thoughts on this.

There is no additional subsidy from Delhi and from Haryana, apart from the standard 80EEB. Benefits are available in UP and Rajasthan though. If you can get your vehicle registered in Noida or Ghaziabad or Bhiwadi, you will get the subsidy of about 1.5 lakhs.

No subsidy is available in Delhi or NCR at the moment. It ended in July 2021.
There is road tax waiver in Delhi though.

Could you please explain what benefit is available in UP? UP doesn’t even waive road tax. No subsidy is there in UP either. The best place to register in NCR is Delhi where you would get a road tax waiver of several lakhs.
