Sorry you had to go through this incident. But you really need good luck now, to deal with Go Digit. I have had a very bad experience with them as off last month. Never buying their policy.

Re: My MG ZS EV's accident & MG's handling of the incident

Update from my side :

Nearly 20 days passed.

Zero communication from MG Hyderabad, since 10 days.

So I've mailed to Pulse Hub

Body shop advisor whatsapped as below

Request Members, to enlighten on this and to point out any flaws or fallacies in it.

As for me, Disregarding the time length, I only wish to get the car back anew and with zero loss in quality, comfort.

Re: My MG ZS EV's accident & MG's handling of the incident

Quick update. Received the car. I am attaching the invoice ~ 2 Lakhs . Have to see what the aftermath be like.

I will post the pictures and experience later. For now, the Digit Insurance and handing over car experience is smooth. Charged only 2000 Rs.

Re: My MG ZS EV's accident & MG's handling of the incident

Greetings All!

In continum with my earlier posts (like smooth experience during RSA, failure of workshop people to identify the damages in the first place, My mail to mg pulse hub, 3 weeks time for delivery, 2 Lakhs bill) here are my observations in the attached Pics .

I feel the rating has to be 6.5 out of 10.

Mr Sundar CRM is involved, after my Mail to mg pulse hub regarding the inadequacies of identifying the damages and workmanship. He did a decent job I feel, to get this 6.5/10 output. Apart from him, I feel all else is substandard and unethical to an extent.

Members may please add their remarks, suggestions. Do other Bodyshops like Honda, Toyota, Mercedes, Skoda etc have similar issues/inadequacies in Identification, Workmanship, Ethics as with MG here? Or are they are even worse, rendering MG better?

Re: My MG ZS EV's accident & MG's handling of the incident

Lord, the crappy workmanship. I am sorry to say but your troubles have just started. Its easy to get over an accident, but a badly repaired car is another thing. More over its an insurance claim repair so getting to redo things is going to get a bit nasty.

No, other manufactures don't do a job like this. Nor is it expected of them nor are they allowed to make a one off mistake like this.

This is shoddy workmanship. Period.

If its not shoddy then MG built their car in a manner which is difficult to repair. Which one will MG accept?

I am afraid, because it seems very likely that you will have to fight this one out with MG.

I am assuming that you have taken delivery of the car after repair. If the workshop if trying pass the buck on this one, please start writing emails to higher up to get a solution.

P.S. Its not just the panel gaps, even the colour is not matching up. :(

Thank You for your inputs. I will email.

The difference in color observed by you., could it be because of PPF?

I could not find difference in color, but noticed loss of metallic paint glitter.

Thanks

Cant be the PPF, if PPF created such a difference, people would have been dead against it.

But cant vouch for the quality of the PPF. Just like a bad quality clear coat can change the shade of the paint, so can an inferior quality PPF material.

Registering a complaint and getting acknowledgement from police is not difficult as soon as something like this happens. Whether you use it to claim compensation is secondary. Atleast they get fined for rear-ending.
I have had an accident where a Taxi Innova rear ended me in heavy traffic, I think that the guy was on his phone or something. I got the traffic cops involved and gave a complaint, they did all that an fined him for dangerous driving. All smooth and good.
However, when it came to the insurance process this was not useful at all as if you need to claim damages from the other party, there has to be an FIR and an investigation to fix the responsibility, for this the cops can keep both vehicles for as long as they need. So this is not possible practically.
Best is to get the money from the other guy to cover your deductible and file your own claim with your insurance.

Re: My MG ZS EV's accident & MG's handling of the incident

I am Happy to share that my car has been redone. And this time its 9.8/10 Good. All Thanks to MG's Competent System to handle Customer Feedback & Mr Sundar CRM of MG Hyd. Although it would have been Ideal to get this output without all these hassles, I am Happy nonetheless!

Thanks to fellow BHPians for relevant pointers and time .

It's pretty smooth. At all stages, they acted swiftly. There was no undue delays. I am going with them only this year also.
