Nope doesn't make sense without downsizing the engine, and all its related sub systems.

With all the extra weight, both the ev system and the ice system function less efficient. The only way to have a successful hybrid vehicle running at optimum efficiency is to go back to the drawing board, redesign the entire setup with an optimized size engine, Gearbox, Motor, Power electronics, energy source for both, and so on..

This is just my opinion over my calculations, trials, failures, etc. But I may be wrong too.

Have a lovely day cheif

Amazing work Hemank and this is the future. But converting existing cars to EVs will be vehemently opposed by Oil companies and also Auto Manufacturers, but this is in the common man's interest so hopefully gain momentum!
All the best to you and your team - will keep following you closely.

EVs have been a personal passion of mine and I am currently working on a 3 wheel electric vehicle (early design stage). Would love to meet up with you sometime if you come to Delhi or if I come to Pune!

Great job sir!

I have been looking for a possible way to convert my Punto 90HP to an EV. Do you (or other BHPians) know anyone in Bangalore who can handle this conversion reliably if I source the parts from you?

It looks like the Punto is about 300kg heavier than the DZire which means higher specs may be needed for similar performance!

I was trying to estimate the costs based on your website but I am not sure if I am including all parts that are necessary to get this right. If you have a list of necessary plus optional parts that are needed for a full conversion, do share it.

ICE to Electric Conversion & Reregistration?

Such threads gives a lot of hope. On youtube there are some promising videos.

In Delhi there is good buzz around EV. I gather it's same in Hyderabad. But in the transport department website there is no clarity for the end to end process.

Is it there a road legal way from ICE to Electric Conversion & Reregistration?

Any fellow members have first hand experience of doing it in any state or UT.

This would be really helpful for the EV loving community including me who has a well run Swift petrol waiting for such good news.
