Jaguar is gearing up to launch the I-Pace electric SUV on March 9, 2021.

The I-Pace is the brand's first all-electric offering. It will be offered in three variants - S, SE and HSE.

Powering the I-Pace is a 90 kWh lithium-ion battery and an electric motor that produces 394 BHP and 696 Nm. The claimed 0-100 km/h acceleration time for the car is 4.8 seconds. The vehicle has a range of 470 km on a single charge (WLTP cycle).

In India, Jaguar will offer a complimentary 5-year service package, 5-year roadside assistance and 8-year / 1,60,000 km battery warranty. Each car will come with a 7.4 kW AC wall mounted charger.

Very curious to see how they price this for India and how it stacks up in Indian conditions. Mum's pretty much made her mind up that the next car she's getting is from the JLR stable and has her eyes set on one of the smaller SUVs (Evoque or Discovery Sport). I've thrown the i-Pace in as a rogue option and dad for one was quite taken by it so let's see. Given the sort of daily distances covered by the A4 it'll likely replace, I wonder if getting something like the i-Pace makes a good long term replacement.

Unfortunately, most of the charging points are 25kw, and it's going to take a lot of time for the I Pace to charge up its 90kwh battery, even to 80% on those "Fast" chargers. that's 3 hours or more easily.

The Jaguar I-Pace is the first all-electric offering by the carmaker in India. It has been priced from Rs 1.06 crore for the base S trim and goes up to Rs 1.12 crore for the top-spec HSE trim (ex-showroom, India).

Jaguar has launched its first all-electric SUV called the I-Pace in India. It is available in three variants - S, SE and HSE.

The I-Pace electric SUV looks like a typical Jaguar. It has the family grille with slim head lamp clusters. The car has pronounced front wheel arches and a high shoulder line. At the rear, the I-Pace gets slim LED tail lamp units with the Jaguar logo in the centre.

On the interior, the I-Pace comes with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and the Pivi Pro Infotainment system. It has features such as 360-degree camera, wireless charging, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, 4-zone automatic climate control, ClearSight Rear View Mirror which uses a wide-angle camera linked to a high-resolution screen within the frameless IRVM. The car supports over-the-air updates.

Grossly overpriced. Even after taking into account 120% import duty and 5% GST.

Lets assume the car costs 30 lacs to manufacture, adding 120% plus adding 5% it still will not cost 1.05-1.20 cr.

Its getting annoying that manufacturers taking indians for a ride. even the eqc was overpriced and now this. we cannot afford 1 cr ev and worst of all is that this ipace is not worth 1 cr.

i doubt it will sell. all the best to jaquar but youre disappointing.
