Waiting for the Altroz EV launch, have seen random articles/ videos on the internet that say it's going to be launched early 2022. But is there any official confirmation or any spy shots about the Altroz EV.

Curious to know about the range, price and if TATA has managed to add the cruise control..

While Auto-dimming IRVM would be an essential, given that it's not available even in the top end Altroz ICE variant and in the Nexon EV it would be an overkill to except it on the Altroz EV.

Altroz EV or Altroz Automatic?

The interiors look similar to the regular variants of Altroz with the same dashboard layout but with a covered gear lever?

Very effectively hidden ! Two points could have revealed the model details- the gear lever, and the exhaust. If only the person had checked the exhausts, we could have known better what this mule was all about.

Is it simply a test mule for the 6-speed manual gearbox variant?

Looking at the gearbox shifter, there seems to be a small protrusion on the front, which indicates this is an automatic and that might as well be the shift button. Now whether this is an ICE or an EV is anybody's guess.

Though that 'EP' marking on the rear glass could indicate something like electric prototype? Its a wild guess

I am so desperately waiting for Altroz and Nexon to be launched with updated range upto 500KM's (real world would be around 350KMs i believe). Perfect for my use case. If anyone has any update on the launch dates, please share.

I don't really know, but as the Altroz is based on a more modern, EV ready platform, I don't think that would be the case.

+1.
Tata has managed battery placement very well in Nexon EV, with 5mm reduction in GC compared to ICE Nexon.
I am guessing Altroz too will follow similar battery placement approach as it is a hatchback and boot space is limited to place larger battery.

The fact that these pictures seem to give a lot but actually dont, even though the vehicle was in stopped condition, means that this was an intentional leak by Tata and not from an aam aadmi.

Nobody would click such close up pictures and miss out on long shot pics.

TATA has really upped its game and transformed its lineup. The've come a really long way since the Indica, hehe. Excited to see what's in store for us ahead!
