Her knees are raising above seat and she isn’t getting under thigh support. If we spread legs wide we are getting some support.

In fact, even in drivers seat I found it less convenient than nexon petrol. May be because of same reason of elevated floor in drivers area too?
Was going through Nexon EV max reviews, and couldn't help but think that this pretty much seals the fate for Altroz EV with 40% more capacity battery than old Nexon EV. In Altroz, they don't have the ground clearance or the boot space to play around with, so unless there's some new , space efficient innovativion in battery technology coming up (and it has to come up before 2yrs are over- when Curvv and other gen 2 vehicles are launched) , Altroz EV is rather at a distant dream. Punch stands a better chance, having the same ALFA platform?

I think neither the electric Punch nor the Altroz will be on Alfa platform, but instead use the modified EV specific Sigma platform.
Quote:
Sigma is the second platform after the Nexon and Tigor conversions. The Sigma platform is, in fact, based on the existing ALFA or X4 architecture (which underpins the conventionally powered Altroz and Punch), but is heavily modified for electrification.

The transmission tunnel has been removed, the fuel tank area modified and the side members have been pushed to the sides to create a flat floor to free up space for a large battery pack. The platform is optimised for electrification, unlike the Tigor’s, where the battery pack has to be split between the fuel tank and the spare wheel area. Hence, Tata Motors is re-engineering the platform around the battery pack to avoid any compromises. As a result, Sigma-based models are likely to be lighter, more energy efficient and more spacious than an IC engine conversion EV.

But ALFA was developed specifically to be EV-ready.

I don't think it was for 400-500 km range battery packs.

Friends, Any news about Altroz ev? Could not see any test mule spottings.

Does Tata have the plan to launch it? or directly moving to Avinya and Sierra?

Next in line will be Punch EV, I guess.

Is there any post/report that gives some inkling of what sort of timeline we can expect for the launch of subsequent Tata EVs? And which ones they'll be?

I'm guessing prevalent thinking is next up will be the Punch EV. Asking because we're TDing the Tigor tomorrow as a replacement for a 15yo Santro (Tiago EV not available yet for TD in Cal) and it's been weighing on our mind whether there's merit to holding out a bit. But parents are keen to get a new car in the short term so it looks unlikely Punch EV will be available by then for eg.

Most probably the Altroz EV Max will be scheduled for a launch in 2023.

AutoSpy caught a test mule of the same a couple days back running through the streets of Pune.

Almost a year has gone by and no update regarding Altroz EV! Is it shelved?
