Nexon EV ranges from 36-40 lacs NPR. Here, we all feel that it's been overpriced by 4-5 lacs NPR. MG eZS top variant retails at 51 lacs which is probably the best value for money EV in Nepal. EZS is selling in huge numbers too. Nissan Leaf launched a couple of months ago is priced at 60 lacs. Still, what works in the favour of Nexon is its high ground clearance, wide spread service Center and charging network every 15km. Similarly, the charging point in MG located at the front which may get damaged in frontal collision costs 1.5 lac NPR to repair.

Note: For reference, Nexon Petrol XZ+ is 47 lacs NPR.

A Nexon EV costs less than Petrol XZ+ ? Is it a typo? Or some subsidies make EVs cheaper?

It's not a typo. In Nepal, ICE cars attract a tax of 250% whereas EV attracts tax of 50-100%. A Dzire VXI costs over 20 lacs INR here for reference.

Tell us more about the charging infrastructure in Nepal. Are chargers being setup by Tata Power? I don't see Tata chargers in Nepal in Tata EZ charge app. Or is the Nepalese govt./private companies setting up the charges?

Sipradi is a company that imports and distributes Tata passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Dealers in Nepal and India may operate in the similar fashion. While you have manufacturer in India, we have only importer in Nepal. So, Sipradi may be regarded as the equivalent for Tata in Nepal.

Coming back to EV infrastructure: Kia Soul EV used to be sold in Nepal for over a decade. There used to be a charging station at a place called Kurintar which is a trijunction for Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan. Apart from Kia, MG has been setting up fast charging in various cities of Nepal. BYD has been more aggressive on this front. I read a news yesterday which said that Sipradi (read TATA) assures of charging station every 150km.

On the other hand, governemt of Nepal has also dispensed budget to establish 100 charging stations in different parts of the country.

Unlike India, EVs will have a faster adoption in Nepal for following reasons:
1. Its cheaper than ICE counterpart because of not as high taxation.
2. Nepal is a small country. Probably, smaller than UP. Hence, range anxiety is not as severe.
3. Most or maybe even all of electricity in Nepal is hydro-electricity. Hence, its going to be truly green here.

Back to Nexon: We were all very enthusiatic about Nexon EV. If it were priced at least 10-15% lesser, Tata would have ruled the market. Sipradi turned a little too greedy.
