Quiklyz has announced that it would offer the widest range of electric vehicles (EVs) for leasing and subscription. The monthly subscription fees for electric 4-wheelers start at Rs. 21,399 and Rs. 13,549 for electric 3-wheelers.



Quicklyz claims to have the largest portfolio of EVs on its subscription platform. It includes products from Mahindra, Tata Motors, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Audi and Jaguar.

Quicklyz monthly subscription fee for EVs:

• Mahindra eVerito - Rs. 21,399
• Tata Tigor EV - Rs. 28,399
• Tata Nexon EV - Rs. 31,599
• MG ZS EV - Rs. 55,799
• Audi e-tron - Rs. 2,33,599
• Mercedes-Benz EQC - Rs. 2,39,599
• Jaguar I-Pace - Rs. 2,48,299

A Quicklyz subscription does not require a down payment. The monthly fee covers insurance, maintenance and roadside assistance. Customers will have the option to upgrade their vehicle in 2-3 years.

The electric 3-wheeler range includes vehicles from Mahindra and Piaggio.

Will they provide short term rental, may be for a week or two?
There are many people who are on the fence wrt EVs having concerns on range, charging, comfort etc., It will be immensely helpful for the EV industry if people can rent their desired EV for a week and experience in detail so that they can take the plunge confidently

Just another leasing company which offers EVs. Don't make any financial sense unless you are business.
Even with a modest down payment of 2-3L, one can get a loans for most cars with ease. Why bother with leasing option?

Meanwhile, the EMI for a Nexon EV base (XM) is Rs.34,100 (no mileage limit, zero down-payment , at 7% interest p.a for 4 years)

4 years subscription cost : 16,22,352
4 years worth of EMIs : 16,36,800
price difference : Rs.14,448

*The subscription cost isn't too much value for money unless you get the top spec Nexon EV

*The subscription DOES take care of the insurance, service & repairs.

*Tata says that it costs about Rs.25,152 for a 5 year period (money saved from servicing would even out the price difference between the EMIs and subscriptions)

I still think that Buying is better than leasing as the price difference isn't too big, there's no mileage limit, you get to keep the car and in the end , you get to sell it (and the EV pre-owned market is growing, and EVs might have better resale value than ICE cars.)

Quite logical comparison but resale of a 5+ year old EV is still an unknown territory. Especially considering the warranty on battery ends after 8 years and Tata is quoting 7 Lakhs for a full battery replacement, in case it's needed.

I Don't think there is a rental option at all. Quicklyz only provides leasing option of cars and the ownership is transferred to you (RC in Lessees name).
The minimum period is two years.
