Not sure of peeling. Atleast with Plastidip, you can remove it fully without any issues.
Sounds very interesting, If you dont mind, can you please share images of the same
Thanks in advance!

Re: 2022 MG ZS EV Facelift Review

I see the new MG ZS EV on road in almost all the colours, I like the closed off grill, I somehow feel the grill on the old car and the grill on the Astor boring now.

Re: 2022 MG ZS EV Facelift Review

Finally I have booked Excite yesterday.Delivery within 3 months.
In the mean time any good suggestions for carpet mats.I am not happy with the oem and also those fancy 7d things available online.I prefer subtle one with slight curve on the edges that will serve the basic purpose.

Re: 2022 MG ZS EV Facelift Review

Hey guys. I am looking for 7d floor mats for the 2022 zs ev. The showroom people told me the 2022 zs ev has a flat floor at the rear compared to the 2021 zs ev so the floor mats design is slightly different at the rear.
Have any of you fixed 7d floor mats for the 2022 zs ev if so where did you get it from in bangalore.

Re: 2022 MG ZS EV Facelift Review

Had my first drive in an EV in a friend’s brand new MG ZS EV. Drove down from BKC to Worli and back via the sea link - covering about 25 km. Some quick observations:

1) The car is amazingly well built - great interiors, chunky steering and everything is high quality. Not what I expect from the Chinese and far superior to the Hector
2) It picks up remarkably quickly, but the regenerative braking when you lift off is quite disconcerting for someone used to cars coasting when you lift
3) The braking is quite disconcerting too - at least on two occasions, the brakes took longer than I expected to bite as I slowed down at a signal. However, I got used to that quite quickly
4) The car loses range very quickly when you push it on the sea link - lost a total of 23% charge during a 25 km drive - my friend obviously thought I was driving very badly.
5) However, if you drive it gently (anticipating the need to stop, and using regenerative braking without hitting the brakes), the fall in range is much slower
6) The car gives you a lot of data on the digital display - would need to learn to use that

Suspect I would end getting stranded if I took the car on the expressway to Poona - but it clearly makes enormous sense for city driving. Given how well it drives, I suspect I would seriously consider it or a similar vehicle for my next city car.

Re: 2022 MG ZS EV Facelift Review

Hi Folks
Just came from a weekend drive to Wayanad from bangalore. It was just good fun. I didn't have any range anxiety, but can't say the same about my wife. Her expression was that it feels like looking at your phone when you don't have a charger or if you have been out all day.
I averaged about 6.2 km/kW on my way there. Left with 100% SOC and topped up at MG Mysore from 47% to 100%. It worked out to about Rs. 555/- reached Wayanad with about 53% left. Speed was between 90 and 120. Cos after 125 the beeping is incessant and bothersome. The drive was on Eco mode with the AC on at all times except for the drive through the forest with the sun roof open.
The following day I topped up at a chargengo at Meenanagdi from 24% to 90% costing about Rs. 575.
Reached Mysore MG at 39% SOC and topped it up to 100% for Rs 612. Reached bangalore with 38% left averaging 5.8 km/kW. The trip was on Eco mode with AC on at all times. Sport mode was on for about 40 odd kms just for the fun of it.
I drove it like I would drive any 176bhp car but taking advantage of the instant torque I think my driving might have appeared a tad bit too fast sometimes. Overtakes are easy n you have no doubt once you floor it. Well you don't really have to floor it.
Overall a fun experience, also the quietness and absence of any vibration doesn't tire you out after 750kms like it would have otherwise in an ICE car.
The first service is due as I am 1245km now.
So next update after a 1200km round trip in a few weeks. Any one on the fence about this car can consider it seriously.

Thanks for sharing. Looks like you drove at good speeds to get a low number of 6.2KM/KW. My typical consumption on Bangalore-Mysore drive is around 7-7.5KM/KW and use about 40-45% battery depending on my mood.
Since there are enough fast chargers these days, range anxiety is a thing of the past unless one goes off the highways regularly.

I think it was also the way I accelerated often that gave me those numbers. I am enjoying that instant torque.
