re: Citroen C3 Electric, now unveiled

315 km is the ARAI range which is computed around 50-60 km/h in testing conditions while in real life scenarios it comes around 220-240 km as seen with Nexon & Tigor Evs.

For C3 ev it’s an estimated assumption of the real world range.

re: Citroen C3 Electric, now unveiled

Thats understood. If one is to avg 7.5km/kwh the real world range of Tiago 24kwh and C3 28kwh would be 180km and 210km respectively.

I suppose 7 to 7.5km/kwh is what ev users are getting with regular driving? Feather footing might take it to 9 to 10km/kwh, just speculating.

re: Citroen C3 Electric, now unveiled

Electric Citroen C3 for India will launch in 2023 January.

Carlos Tavares, the global CEO of Stellantis:

Quote:
Because we are able to deliver a worldwide benchmark in quality at a very cost- competitive price, it may be possible. This is not decided yet, but this is what we are trying to do in 2023. Those are the doors that can open for India
Quote:
The export potential is going to depend on how fast Stellantis India is going to achieve its cost and quality targets. The shipping of vehicles to South East Asia is almost a given, even as exports to Europe are on the radar.
Quote:
Right now, it is not possible to localise more than 90% of components. We need to find the suppliers and we are very open to that discussion. I would love to buy a battery from an Indian supplier. I am still looking for it. We have not found a source yet, it will happen in the next few years
Stellantis has outlined a plan to produce close to 25,000 e-C3s in 2023, of which a sizeable volume is meant for export markets with Europe likely to be amongst the key contenders.
Quote:
a sharp focus on localisation and it will look at localising battery cells and parts even in India and may use it for exports.
Quote:
the company makes its own motors, battery packs, software and ACC cells. This effectively means Stellantis has a deep integration on EVs globally, which is something that it can attempt even in India to ensure right cost and affordability for EVs.
Tavares informed that with its frugal approach, the Indian operation is already making money. This holds the company in a good stead in today’s business environment, which is witnessing a global slowdown.

Its rumored eC3 will get 30kwh battery and an expected 10 lakh price.

Is it possible?

Have they managed to procure battery at low cost?

Extremely unlikely. The upcoming 6 speed automatic variant of the turbo petrol with all the missing features added is expected to cost around 10 lakhs ex showroom.

re: Citroen C3 Electric, now unveiled

Its good news. Going by Stellantis brands pricing, it will be priced closer to 15L ( and will be closer to Nexon ). Stellantis strategy seems to be be to maximise profits per car regardless of the volume. But, for sure it will be a gem to drive,

re: Citroen C3 Electric, now unveiled

New Citroën C3 electric will have 'popular' price: the most affordable from Stellantis.

Citroen C3 Electric, now unveiled-1.jpg

- Will have smaller batteries to become the cheapest electric car of the Stellantis group.

- The unprecedented zero emission version of the compact car should be called Citroën e-C3 .

- Being developed in the technical center of Chennai, India, the first market to receive the novelty.

- The electric C3 'Made in India', which is just months away from debuting, it will already hit the market with a more affordable price compared to other access electric cars from Stellantis brands such as the Peugeot e-208, Fiat 500e and Opel Corsa-e.

- The specifications have not yet been revealed, but everything indicates that the model will be offered in single configuration of electric motor and different battery options. In the input versions, it will probably come with a capacity of 30.2 kWh powering an electric motor of about 86 hp of power. More modest numbers than those delivered by Stellantis' 'standard' electrical set: 136 hp of power and 50 kWh capacity.

- Targeted at a price of INR 10lakh (~ 12k Euros), it is a value that will place you as a direct competitor of the Dacia Spring, the European version of Renault Kwid E-Tech.

- Globally, the French brand is already working on the next generation of the C3, which can be exclusively electric and will have a look inspired by the Oli concept.

- The company is working this new generation of compact that will have as its mission to "make electric mobility accessible".

- This future C3 based on the concept will take a little longer to reach the market and will be more refined, being destined to Europe

-The Oli Concept presented in Paris has a battery of 40 kWh which, thanks to its low weight of less than 1,000 kg can take you up to 400 km with a charge.

re: Citroen C3 Electric, now unveiled

Used to spot a EV very frequently on the city roads nowadays and no doubt, TML is enjoying the lion share. With Tiago EV launch, the number will still grow up. Fingers crossed for XUV400.

C3 is very nice catchy compact SUV. Hope the vehicle is fully equipped with features that missed in ICV and has long range. The the pricing strategy is competitive/affordable, we'll sure to see more Citroens on streets.

re: Citroen C3 Electric, now unveiled

While eC3 from Citroen is an ambitious plan, the brand muat also ensure to provide a fully loaded variant and an auto gearbox. Also they must spruce up more brick and mortar stores and service touch points.

Luckily, being an EV shall automatically mean that is shall not be a manual transmission.
