Citroen C3 Electric, now unveiled

I have been spotting a rather unique C3 for a while and every single time jam at the wheel of my car I can't take a proper picture, but today I spotted it again and even though it was on the other side of the road I could just take a weird picture . It had camo over the right fender and was completely debadged and from what I felt was it had a hatch opening (correct me if wrong) on the fender (for charging).
Is this the EV C3 Aircross in testing?

Re: Citroen C3 Review

This is great news and the more EVs we have in this small hatchback segment, the better choice consumers will have.
Both C3 and Tiago EV are improving on the core car capabilities and the cars were already great packages and lacking a bit either a powerful engine or a AT option. With the EV options – the most key experience of drivability itself is improved.
Personally, I would love to choose one of Tiago vs C3. The only thing which I am worried, is the TASS experience and their competence. Otherwise, they have a proven platform in the Tiago and the Ziptron technology itself has been in the market for the last few years, including good overall safety rating.
For C3, I hope they can establish the safety aspect with a GNCAP or similar crash test rating. The technology might be new and need to wait and watch how it holds on its own. Additionally, the service experience will be a key deal maker for them.

Totally unexpected. Launching a day after Tiago.EV is a really good move. Might end up being a good alternative to Nexon EV or Tigor EV if priced well.
The way they are saying "Electric is not enough" is giving me Plug-in hybrid vibes. Hope i am wrong on this.

I guess they mean "Electric that's good is not enough, Electric that's great is what we want."

I do not think PHEV on a small car is feasible.

Oh! That's a big surprise.

Looking for more details to surface. We are all set for the EV scene to shift into the next gear, and accelerate from here for sure at more than linear growth.

To me its looking like EV is going to go the mobile phone way.

EVs must have been thinking "Apna time aayega" for a long time. Finally there.

Re: Rumour: Citroen C3 Electric could debut in December

I'm in the market for a small city EV and I like the Tata EV twins, but the QA issues and Tata Motors after sales service stories have put me off. I'm genuinely looking forward to see what Citroen has up its sleeve.

Hope the C3 EV is well equipped. The ICE model got the fundamentals right - space, comfort, build etc, but missed out on kit. Hope they set things right with the EV.

Re: Rumour: Citroen C3 Electric could debut in December

Godspeed Citroen! well done on timing the launch just after Tiago EV.

I would just say the same thing i said on the Tiago EV launch thread. Speed up the C3 Aircross EV launch. It would be the perfect urban city SUV roundabout.

And always better to launch a new technology with an altogether new model than with an existing model. But C3 is a very recent launch and still has that fresh air about it.

Another point with the launch of the EV as the brand's second mass market model is, it is not going to bring in the moolah for the service centers. Unlike Tata, Mahindra and MG who already have ICE models that are doing well. So, some food for thought for a Company that is looking to expand their sales and service network.

Re: Rumour: Citroen C3 Electric could debut in December

If we take a closer look at the today’s teaser it seems on 29th September Citroen india isn't unveiling c3 ev instead it’s Citroen AMI ev.

It'd be sad if they decided to get a glorified and electrified Qute over here. Was really looking forward to the C3 electric, guess will have to wait patiently for the Punch electric though

BHPians,

Any information on the launch event today. All seems to be numb on social media.

re: Citroen C3 Electric, now unveiled

Is there any news on the launch of C3 ev? All are showing it's going to launch today butt half the day is over. Will they launch it today ? Or are they rethinking their pricing strategies after the Tiago ev launch ? Was really looking forward for this launch.
