Hi Everyone,
Booked an Atto-3 Premium variant in the Ski White on 25th October.
Have a couple of questions that I would love to have answers to.
1. Anyone who owns a Ski White- would like to know if the interiors are too difficult to keep clean. I am worried about the white fabric on the dash and doors. If you have managed to keep them clean, how are you managing that?
2. Since this is my 1st EV purchase, should I be looking for anything specific in the PDI compared to ICE car PDI's?

Will update further once the car is delivered. Hopefully it won't be a very long wait.

Congrats on your BYD Atto3.

White interiors are not that difficult to keep clean.
Just take care of any smudges immediately with wet wipes. We also have an Ignis at home which has white interiors, for the last 7 years. The interiors are still clean despite not doing too many things.
I did only a superficial PDI for both my EVs. Make a point to check the number of km driven, since the dealerships are few and far between.

Thank you!
Did the PDI at the stock yard, the ODO read 7 kms then. Given the distance to the dealer and RTO, I am expecting the ODO to be not more than around 80 kms at the time of delivery.
PDI process was smooth and satisfactory. Hoping to take the delivery of the car tomorrow but there is still no confirmation from the SM for the same.

I've tested the BYD Atto 3 dynamic model twice in Bangalore city with a full charge, and I achieved a range of 270-300 kilometers both times. I am yet to test the range in highways.

Hello everyone,

I've been following this thread for the past few months. I'm based in Nagpur and booked an Atto 3 Superior variant back in August 2024. Initially, I was told delivery would take about 60 days, but it’s now been over 90 days, and I still haven’t received any delivery date.

The dealership has some Superior variants in stock from early 2024 (from before the Dynamic and Premium variants were announced, with the older "Build Your Dream" badging on the back). They are encouraging me to consider one of these as they’re offering a good deal. However, I prefer the latest model, where at least the badging and tyres have been updated.

My main question is: does anyone know the major differences between the early 2024 Superior models and the newer Superior model (launched with the Cosmos Black color)? Specifically, I’m interested in:

- I know the dashcam has been removed. Has anything else been changed, added, or removed in the center console or infotainment system?
- Have there been any other interior changes (besides seat cover colors)?
- Has there been any improvement in the sound system? I’ve heard it’s very basic, so I’m curious if they upgraded it in the latest Superior variant.

The dealership is still urging me to consider the early 2024 model since it’s readily available, but I’m hoping I’m making the right choice by waiting for the new model.

Thanks!

Hello all, just a quick update from my side. I decided to go with the pre-Aug Superior model for the following reasons:
I took delivery on November 30, 2024, and I’ve been absolutely blown away by the car and its driving experience. I haven’t tested the full range yet, but I’m hoping it’ll hit at least 350 km!

Thanks to everyone who responded to my original post.

Dear Members,

A noob question: is there a way to add auxiliary lights to the Atto 3?

Kindly share your thoughts on the current headlight setup - is it bright enough for our roads?

To add context to my above question, I suffer from extreme glare from oncoming traffic. It's been so bad in the last few years that I've given up diving my Vento for more than a year.

I'm interested in the Atto 3 and would like to go for it if additional lights are permissible.

Thank you.

I see from your profile that you are from Nagpur. I am evaluating buying EV with 300km - 400km range instead of ICE car as my next primary car.

I travel from Hyderabad to Nagpur about 2-3 times a year. The distance is slightly over 400km range. I did not see lot of EV chargers available within 200 kms of Nagpur on Statiq app. This made me hold off on my decision to buy an EV last year due to range anxiety in last 100km of journeys.

How is EV charging infrastructure about 150km - 200km around Nagpur now?

Allow me to answer, there are tonnes of options from Hyderabad to Nagpur drive.

I will suggest you to download PlugShare app to see all the options.

I am attaching the screenshot from the app so you might get a fair idea.

The distance between Hyderabad and Nagpur is 498 kms (almost 500). So a single charge definitely won't work. Hyderabad is my Sasural so even I travel Ngp-Hyd often :).

There are many options around Nagpur but I haven't actually tried any yet. As FourBanger suggested, try an app like PlugShare or Tata EV and perhaps call a few stations before starting your journey just to make sure their chargers are in order.

Another great app to try is eHUB by MG. You can plan trips in this app, check charger status and start charge. They have tie ups with multiple CPOs, so instead of having multiple apps, you can just use one. Though the app is a white label app by MG but does the job and can be used by anyone.

Thank you.

The headlamps of Atto 3 are very good.Double Barrel Projector LEDs. No issues with night, rains, fog.

The rear lights are also very good. For extra oomph, you can also switch on the fog lamp, which is a LED bar in the back bumper. Looks very good as well.

If you opt for the Superior variant, it also has Adaptive Front lights which adjusts the beam according to oncoming traffic( my car is a premium variant, so no experience with it).

Hope this helps!

This is precisely what I needed to know. Given that most vehicles run LEDs, I find only a few to be genuinely capable of lighting up the road in a meaningful way. Your reply gives me hope of being able to manage my highway runs, which will be the primary usage.

I've always wondered what Adaptive Front Lights are. I took them for cornering headlights. Thank you for the clarification. I'm sure these would be a fantastic addition to state highways. However, I wonder how many would reciprocate dipping their headlights when ours adjusts itself.

Yes, I, too, plan for the Premium variant.

Thanks again for your clarifications. Deeply appreciate it!

The way adaptive lights work is that when it is pitch dark and no vehicles are coming against you, then the high beam is switched on. If the vehicle detects even a small light, it switches to low beam. You can always manually switch on the high beam. In our highways, most of the people do not have the courtesy to lower their beams in reciprocation.

Thank you, RKNair,

You guys are a big help!

Thanks to your support, I plan to book the vehicle in the new year.

Appreciate your guidance.

The year is almost ending. I had opportunity to test drive the Atto3 top spec last week.

I am in the process of writing my test drive experience to share here.
The car felt good on the inside. Even the base variant (Dynamic) gets 360 degree camera, leatherette seats and same interiors as the top end variant which felt good.

Are there any good deals available on Atto3?
What is real world range from 49kwH battery that comes in Atto3 Dynamic variant ?

Also keen to know if anyone has been offered year end discounts on the Atto 3? Delhi NCR region.

Else I'll wait for 2025 manufactured vehicles to arrive at the dealers.
