Unfortunately the roads here are not in league of western countries, 20 inches, 45 profile will be tough on the butt. Kona is already known for harsh ride, not sure if Hyundai has gone in its line. Saving grace is the Michelin tyres, which should offer some comfort.

I have not liked it much. Doesn't have much of a road presence. It is a grown up hatchback.
Just because it has unique headlight design, you will look at it once, and the next thing you wonder is, is that all!

Once you look at it IRL you realise how big it is, it looks small in photos though. I have seen a couple in the flesh in the UK and it doesn't look like a hatchback.
And if you look at reviews from long term owners overseas all of them say it's a huge head turner.

Such a beautiful car, thinking about getting one as a replacement for my daily 2018 X1 20d, would this car be bigger in size than the X1 I cannot really make out from the pictures.

I've seen plenty of these here in the UK and it looks massive! Has tremendous road presence and is a proper head turner.

Vehicle to Load is a really useful people for people on the Go ( business people, people who have power tools etc, In Australia I have seen people use it as alternate power when their home lost power.

Hyundai, BYD and Kia, and I think Ford has it. Tesla does not !

Re: Hyundai Ioniq 5 @ Auto Expo 2023

With the Ioniq 6 already out….does it make sense to by a generation older car ?

Isn’t the Kia EV6 a better buy ?

I have seen several of them in US and it didn't excite me at all.
Looks like it is just different taste.

EV6 is built on the same technology/platform as the Ioniq 5, both cars pretty much identical mechanically and featurewise apart from some slight differences. And the Ioniq 6 is also not really a newer generation car, it's also built on the same platform with some tweaks.

Ioniq 6 is not the next version of Ioniq 5, it's different body style and dimensions.

There will hardly be any impact on the ground clearance. Mostly all the tyre sizes used in a particular car will have the same diameter. The only way to fit bigger alloys in the same diameter is by reducing the side wall.

So 20 inch wheels essentially only means one thing - fancy looks
But know that this will be at the expense of ride comfort and peace of mind.

I don't know why Hyundai insist on calling this an SUV! Great car, still not an SUV!

Re: Hyundai Ioniq 5 @ Auto Expo 2023

Seriously contemplating buying the Ioniq 5. Will be the first EV in the house.

Any knowledgable BHP-ians can throw some light on what the differences between the EV6 and the Ioniq 5 are?
