Pics: Mahindra INGLO EV platform SUVs showcased in India

In August last year, Mahindra showcased its INGLO EV platform on which its upcoming electric SUVs will be based. The platform will use components from VW's MEB architecture. As part of the deal, the new models are expected to be equipped with MEB components, including the electric drivetrain, batteries, and battery systems. The new range of electric SUVs will be part of two separate brands - 'XUV' with the Twin Peak logo in Copper and the new electric-only brand 'BE'. The new range includes the XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09. The first four of these will be launched between 2024 and 2026.

With the Formula E race scheduled in Hyderabad this year, Mahindra also decided to showcase these SUVs in India for the first time:

Let’s start off with the car that wasn’t showcased anywhere before. This is the BE Rall-E concept off-roader that is based on the BE 05:

Sleek front-end design with off-road specific bumper. There’s also an orange tow-hook up front and a silver skid plate:

The hood gets an aero scoop in the middle:

A closer look at the round headlights. These look like the 7-inch aftermarket headlights that you see on some of the modified Thars (the Bimbra catalog for the 2020 Thar has these IIRC). I’m sure some of the BHPians have installed these on their Thars already:

18-inch steelies look super cool! They were shod with 265/60 R18 Maxxis A/T tyres:

Some sharp body lines and a side skid plate too:

The car was equipped with a roof rack and some auxiliary lights. A spare wheel and a box labeled battery pack were kept on it:

A simple yet futuristic-looking rear end. There’s the ‘BE’ badging in the middle:

Nice prompt on the tailgate:

Interesting sticker at the bottom of the tailgate:

Next up is the BE.05 on which the Rall-E was based on. This SUV is expected to launch in October 2025:

The car measures 4,370 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,635 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm:

Here’s a look at the concept sketch of the rear. Lots of sharp body lines and straight lines for tail lamps. It will be interesting to see if this split spoiler design will make it on the production model:

The QR code leads to this Mahindra electric website:

A new type of key card to access the vehicle?

Rear-view cameras instead of mirrors:

A look at the big scoop in the hood. There’s a splitter in the middle:

It has ‘Aero Bridge’ written on it. Interesting concept, and one more thing to look out for in the production model:

Here’s the XUV.e9 concept. As you can see it carries the Mahindra logo up front and is based on the INGLO platform. Its LxWxH dimensions are 4,790 x 1,905 x 1,690 mm and it has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. The production version is expected in April 2025:

A closer look at the headlamp + DRL combination:

The XUV.e9 has a wide rear stance:

The concept car had 20-inch wheels with 245/50 section tyres:

A coupe-like sloping roofline:

Re: Pics: Mahindra INGLO EV platform SUVs showcased in India

For me, while the others are Meh!, the BE Rall-E really stands out. It's absolutely waiting for the driver to step in so they can rush from Paris to Dakar!

Lovely lines with a menacing stance. If not Dakar, it would be perfect to scare the crap out of Pune rickshaws and other assorted nuisances. Hope they mate it with a menacing growling sound.

Re: Pics: Mahindra INGLO EV platform SUVs showcased in India

A little off topic but I would personally not like someone's logo in my car at various places. I don't even think even 10% of the people buying the 4OO would even know who is Rimzim. I have no clue of who she is.

Re: Pics: Mahindra INGLO EV platform SUVs showcased in India

Mr Bose likes the Headlights placed in the bumper actually mostly his signature in design?

Nevertheless, Mahindra will surely rock the E-SUV segment with those classy designs. Especially the rally versions rear design is so sleek and neat, easily my favorite!

So Mahindra is all prepared to shatter Tata's EV dreams. They might end up like in ICE space, Tata will be doing good numbers in lower segments and Mahindra will be commanding the high margin segments.

Volkswagen Group and Mahindra have signed a supply agreement. The deal covers the supply of certain electric components as well as unified cells.

Mahindra will use VW's MEB architecture components in its INGLO platform-based EVs.
