Tata Harrier EV caught testing; interior spied-img_20240912_141530.jpg

Just today saw this Harrier in camouflage on the Mysuru ORR which I followed from KRS signal till Bharath Cancer Hospital Signal. Was very silent, no emissions, no visible tailpipe. I guessed this might be the EV. The image might not add any value to the thread, but I tried my best to capture it in the few seconds I was standing behind it at the Bharath Cancer Hospital Signal.

Caught the Harrier EV in Jabalpur. Seems like the AC is not working looking at the roof mounted fan. It has hardware for ADAS too.

It can be the updated Nexon EV on the new Acti.ev platform without changes to the top hat. Or are they planning to update the features like Panoramic sunroof and other features further anticipating tough competition from new models.

It is not the ICE version but an EV. Count the number of letters that read Nexon.Ev. That pipe like structure is not the silencer but the suspension swing arm that is designed out of a pipe.

Re: Tata Harrier EV caught testing; interior spied

This spy shot of the rear under body confirms that the Harrier is no doubt a 4X4 that we already know. But the suspension setup seems to throw a new angle. The JLR D8 platform was an AWD with All wheel independent with FWD only suspension up. Tata in this pursuit to localize the platform went for a more conservative and safe approach for shifting to non-independent suspension taking into issues with Indian road conditions.

Now the spy shots give us a new picture. The company has reverted back to all wheel independent suspension that makes ride plush with lots of control over handling. That seems a great initiative and bold approach.

Re: Tata Harrier EV caught testing; interior spied

Imagine the pricing for Harrier EV if its offered with BaaS. It will be quite a tempting proposal from economic standpoint and also may nudge people to take a plunge as they may have an option to not retain the car and give it back (if the same is offered just like Windor EV).

Tata Harrier EV to be launched by March 2025

Discussing Tata Motors’ product plans during the Q2 FY2025 earnings conference call, Shailesh Chandra confirmed it will strengthen its EV portfolio with the Harrier.ev in Q1 2025 (January-March 2025) and the Sierra.ev in late 2025 (September-December 2025). Chandra is the Managing Director of the company’s Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility (TPEM) subsidiaries.

Comparable to Volkswagen’s ID.4 in terms of dimensions, Harrier.ev, a conversion of the diesel-powered Harrier, is likely to be one of India’s most expensive locally manufactured electric cars.
Tata Motors could showcase the upcoming EV in production form at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, which will take place from 17 to 22 January.

I don't think Harrier will come up with 65kwh. Inorder to make space for Sierra.ev, Harrier will be equipped with 75kwh at least.

I wish they won't disappoint us this time.

All sounds of the Sierra being heard, but the car has not yet been spied on the roads. There are no spy shots yet over the web. Expecting one soon. We have heard from multiple sources that the Petrol variant will be launched first before the EV or may be launched simultaneously. Anticipating some information soon.

As it stands, the XEV 9e with 80 kwh battery would be the most expensive locally manufactured EV with a sticker price north of 30L.

With Premium Atto 3 retailing at 29L and eMax 7 in 28-31L with a 72 kwh battery. Harrier with 60 kwh does not have such luxury of pricing, with 6e and eVitara still to launch on a similar sized battery pack.
