Re: Tata Harrier EV caught testing; interior spied

Tata should price the harrier EV sensibly, there will surely be takers. I test drove the Mahindra EV twins today ie BE6 & XEV9; I can assure you that given their price points, they’ll be resounding success. I’m really looking forward to the XE9v as I do believe it can be a proper family car. It has great visibility, very good acceleration, good ride quality and comfortable seats.

The amount of head turning these Mahindra cars get isn’t funny. Literally everyone stops and stares at the cars! Tata better put on their best foot fwd with Harrier pricing. We already own a Nexon EV and am not happy with TATA’s service centres. So given a choice I’ll happily jump ship.

Cheers

Can you pls share your test drive impressions on the respective threads? Am hoping to get the BE6 whenever it launches, so any inputs/early impressions would be welcome.

Is tata waiting for the Creta EV prices and then launch the Harrier EV competitively?
More than Creta EV I am sure they must be keenly looking at the BE6E and XEV9E. I guess after the launch of these two cars Tata could and should go back to the drawing board to address as many shortcomings the Harrier EV would have against these two cars. First impression is often the last impression in the Indian market. Hope they put the best foot forward.

The BE6 is a real looker! My wife is totally sold on it. It is also faster and has cool looking dashboard with some switches being on top centre, Near the rear view mirror. Backseat is slightly cramped compared to the XE9.
Acceleration and driving range is better on the BE6 as it is lighter. The BE6 is good for a couple with kid/s, if you have grand parents also traveling along, BE6 won't cut it. But looks wise BE6 is an out and out winner.

Cheers

The problem with Harrier EV is that it's an ICE platform categorised at Gen 2 EV but the Mahindra pair are Gen 3. You can only make apples to apples comparison when Tata Motors launches the Avinya brand. Only then will it be a true EV on a Skateboard platform. Tell then until numbers pick up it will be Gen 2.
