Kia EV9 spotted in India sans camouflage

Today saw an EV9 near Nagarjuna Sagar Road in Hyderabad. Next to it was a white GLS, and the EV9 appeared slightly larger than the GLS. Although its cabin lacked excessive luxury, it had a very sleek appearance. Given the circulating rumors of its price crossing 90 lakhs, the luxury didn't quite justify the expected cost. A 75 to 80 lakh price tag for the EV9 seems more reasonable.

Registered interest. Kia sales indicated pricing of 1.2 to 1.4 Cr (I assume ex-showroom) with 10 lakhs pre-booking amount and 2 lakhs cancellation.

In the UK, top end EV6 vs top end EV9 is 57k GBP vs 77k GBP. If the indicated price range by local Kia guy is true, here they will price at double of EV6 (at BMW ix levels).

At 80-90l, this could have been in consideration, but at these prices, its out.

Of course, the cancellation fee was the icing on the cake. If one books thinking its 1.2 and cancels because it is 1.4, you have to pay 2 lakhs for the privilege.

Gets a 99.8 kWh battery which has a maximum range of 561 km.

PerAutocar, the prices will be over Rs 1 Cr. I expect this information must be from Kia. Won't be surprised if they launch around 90ish.

I have serious doubts if someone will plonk about 1 Cr on a Kia. Also in this segment, Air Suspension is more of a norm. I don't know how Kia can manage battery weight on such a large vehicle on a traditional setup. BMW uses Air Suspension even on smaller models like an i4.

If EQS 580 is being offered today with a 40L discount even without asking, in current market situation, You can assume what will happen to this KIA once its launched,

So if you wanted a car like this, just wait a while after it is launched and gain enormous discounts.
