ount of HV battery drain (4% in 12 hours).
There is a YouTube video by a couple in Kerala regarding the same issue with Comet. They have made a series of videos on this problem and finally a software update of the ismart app fixed it. I think you can try that- like updating the app or reinstalling it. Please go through their videos. It’s in Malayalam though.

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

And another customer had same issue with Comet if I remember correctly, that was mentioned in one of the comments in their videos. But that was related to audio system pulling power from the battery causing the issue. I don’t remember how they solved it.

This is exactly what I was seeking in my earlier post. How much does the battery deplete if I leave the vehicle parked in the garage for a day or two? I am assuming by this post it is 8% per day but I also feel this is a software issue. Many people say their battery doesn't even deplete a percentage overnight and stays intact for days.

It should not deplete at all overnight. Maybe at most 1-2% per week is okay. Many other EV owners have clearly said that. In my case also, for the first 10 days or so, there was no drain.

At the rate of 8% a day, keeping the vehicle without charging for 12 days would drain both batteries. Page 11 (1-3) of the owner's manual PDF says: Before storing the vehicle for an extended period (over one month), ensure the battery is charged to more than 50%. After prolonged parking, perform charging maintenance at least once a month. This involves fully charging the vehicle using AC slow charging, then discharging it to between 40% and 60% before parking again. Failure to maintain the battery as recommended could lead to vehicle issues caused by over-discharge, which may not be covered under warranty.

So, there is no question of 8% a day being acceptable.

I have a suspicion it is the same for me, that's why the battery drain warning is showing up all the time (until I press the brake and bring the car to "ready" mode).

I have tried a factory reset of the big screen, but I have not reinstalled the iSmart app yet. Will try that.

I think it should be negligible like 1-2% max over 48 hours so. That’s what those couple were getting after software update.

My ZS EV does not have this issue. I had parked my car for 42 days when I was out of city, and battery drain was only 4%.

Was there a software update in between. Maybe the issue must have started after that?

Anyone purchased extended warranty for Windsor EV? I got quote of 30k for 12 months and 40k for 24 months extension. Any views?

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

I heard another mass delivery event happened where a hundred Windsor’s were delivered. This got me thinking, is this why other regions are not getting any cars from the plant and the dealerships have no clue when they will receive a vehicle?

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

Even I just saw this event which happened in Chennai where they delivered a 105 Windsors and I'm getting really frustrated now. I had pre booked my car on 23rd September and had a delivery timeline of 5th week of October but as of now the dealer has no clue when the car will come. Their simple answer is that they haven't got the application from MG. And if you contact the MG customer care, their simple response is that deliveries are up to the dealer and they can't do anything about it. In between all this, 2 such events have happened where they have delivered so many cars at one place. I fail to understand what was the point of pre booking the car when MG is just interested in publicity events and doesn't care about the people who were the first ones to put their trust on the car. I feel this issue needs to be raised to the higher management by people so that they start doing something. I saw someone here had posted Rajeev Chaba's email ID. I'll be dropping a mail to him. Would help the cause if more people from could do the same

Here's another from reddit, reporting poor range and AC on his Windsor. Apparently his car is in workshop for 5 days with no sign of resolution.

This video says more than a hundred Windsors delivered in a single day at Chennai.

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

Blessing in disguise for people whose vehicle delivery got delayed in Telangana. The state government has exempted Road Tax and Registration Fees on EVs till 31 Dec 2026. Obviously I am in the cursed category who paid full tax a few weeks ago. Welcome any suggestions on how to claim refund, if possible.

The dealerships have way too much influence on the company rather than one or two complaining customers. It has really been an extremely bad experience dealing with MG dealership - my first time. Experience with Maruti and Hyundai dealers has been way better!
Well, I am about to join the same boat, the dealership has asked for full payment for being eligible for allocation in the next cycle. Did you buy the insurance from the dealership? Any changes in the price as compared to the initial offer?
