375 V and 7 A mean the charging speed is 2.625 kW (375*7). It will take 14.47 hours ( 38 kWh/2.625 kW) to charge the battery(38 kWh) from 0 to 100%. This is much faster than the ZS EV with the company-provided portable charger. The ZS EV chargers at a rate of 2kW and need 25 hours for a full charge.

Not true, I saw 7A shown in my MG ZS (2.9 kW in escom meter) with the provided portable charger. Higher kW because the battery voltage is higher in ZS EV.
If you are seeing only 2 kW then you need to check the quality of the socket and switch in the wall. It also depends on ambient temperature.

Usually, I slow charge at three places: my home, my wife's home, and a rented house. It shows 400 V and 5 A everywhere. The ambient temperature is low, generally between 15 and 25 degrees.

With similar ambient temperature mine is showing 6A to 7A, also the Neutral to Earth has to be low, mine is less then 1.5v. So clearly something is wrong in your case and I doubt it's the car. Also check the plug contacts pins doesn't have any burnt marks or the plating isn't damaged.

Any update on how it is going so far? Would you like to share your experience till now? I have booked it and waiting for it

Also, after booking, do you get a booking ID or a tracking ID? My dealer has not given anything.

Yes, you do get a booking ID that is linked to your phone number. You can enter this id on the website, and it generates an otp, which will take you to your order page. You can also use the my MG app where you enter your mobile number, and it shows the order details.

Also, has anyone else got their vehicle or any update on deliveries? Especially T.Green top end variant?

You do get a booking id linked to your number. But that isn’t so helpful. Keep in touch with ur dealer. While doing my booking the dealer had entered pincode of bangalore and I live in Mysore. So my booking details when checked in their website didn’t have a dealer mentioned.

I had given up hope I will get the vehicle anytime soon. But got a surprise when the dealer delivered it on Oct 30th.

Had issues with the insurance. Initial quote was 73k ant the time of booking. Asked for discount and they told chola is giving at 50k. A day before delivery they told chola has hiked it to 70k and they will get it from godigit at 58k. On delivery day Godigit hiked it to 73k. I just couldn’t get it. I independently contacted Godigit and got quote of 70k after discount. Insurance was kept pending till the end while I made the dealer aware of my displeasure. At the nth minute dealer got the insurance at 58k from Reliance general insurance. All along dealer gave me option to get it from outside since they were also surprised by the hike.

All along ACKO was offering at 45k but each time I called up ACKO I got different answers about coverage of motor and battery.

I bought zero accessories at delivery time. Got the corner and door protectors the next day.

I donno how to multi quote. But to a question about the colour of my car, it is Pearl White and
not clay beige.

I will make another post regarding experience with the car.

My dealer said T.Green top end variant may come in January. December seems unlikely. I am thinking of cancelling now.

How would that affect your free charging terms? According to the dealership, only those vehicles that are delivered before December are eligible for 1 year free charging.
You can also check out the upcoming twin Ev's rolled out by Mahindra before taking any decision.

There was a T.green essense delivery just before mine. As per dealer, this and beige are the difficult colours. White is very good though. If you are not very particular on the colour, you may get it earlier if you exert some pressure on the SA.

So for this my dealer is saying mostly the company will honor free charging and current price for people who have pre ordered but didn't get the vehicle due to production delays. However, he isn't giving guarantees. I don't think MG will be a problem here the problem. The only risk I have with waiting is if tomorrow the government imposes some new road tax or RTO charges on Ev's I am going to regret waiting for Teal Green, and both Teal and Green will be added to my list of unlucky colors.

The upcoming Mahindra Ev's look good, but the first problem is that it is too big. I am buying the Windsor for my parents, who are both senior citizens. They have mostly driven Hatchbacks, and the last car was an i20. They were very adamant on getting a smaller car or something of the size of an i20. It was very hard to convince them to shift from an under-4m vehicle to a 4.3m vehicle but they finally agreed after they saw that it was value for money and the car has some pretty good features. Although steering controls will still be a learning curve but after four test drives they are comfortable with the car and like it a lot.

Secondly, I have a little trust issues with Mahindra as a brand just like I have with Tata but that's a me problem. I have heard some horror stories from my neighbours. Although, I hope their upcoming two vehicles game changers and class apart.

So my dealer is saying that White and Black he can deliver within 30 days. Infact earlier, two weeks. He had even asked me if I wanted to change the color as he said T. Green won't come before Jan 20.

Now the thing with white is, in my house every car for the last 30 years has been of white color. Like we never even discussed colors, as we knew the car that would come would be white. So this time we wanted a change and T. Green color looked better although I like the white a lot.

Also, as I wanted to add the chrome accessories (bumper corner protector and side guards) they looked very nice on T.Green but I didn't like them that much on White. Although, I am now considering shifting to white but without accessories as Jan 20 is far away. Also, elections just happened in Maharashtra and if some new taxes are added to EV's I am so going to regret waiting for T.Green.

Even Black looks good if you don't want white. Almost all accessories have chrome on them and looks good on black. There is a sprinkly shine to the black too like white. It isn't just jet black.

One stupid accessory is the Morris Garage labelling in the front between the headlights. Its a black trim with black lettering! Basically Morris Garage wont be seen. There is a variant with chrome lettering but it is not available.
