In jashjacob's case it would be 222.02 x 15.26 / 1000 = 3.388 KWH

In my case it is 235.48 x 29.73 / 1000 = 7.00082 KWH

.
Where are you seeing this figures? Which app?

I have never seen my windsor charge below 375volts, be it home charger or DC fast charger. Just amperes change and for home it charges with 7A, and out side it fluctuates depending on the current battery charge and i have seen it go beyond 100A as well when battery was low.

Coming to the OVRMs, I tried today multiple times and mine are closing and opening at exact same. You can check other windsors behaviour whenever you will go for first service.

By the way, I did first service today. Experience was excellent. They tried really hard to remove rear seat rattle noise. Some metal part inside the seat was causing that which was painstakingly difficult to find out. They also identified one rattle in the boot door by themselves and fixed it. Washing and internal cleaninig was done in a detailed manner. Good job indeed.

Surprisingly they provided SOH level on bill without asking. Currently it is showing 100 for 1500+km running.

This is the spin ev chargin app. Just pair your charger with it and it will show when you go near it while charging.

Good for you, I got my SoH 99% when I gave for first service @ 800 kms. Not sure why I got 99%.

I believe it's because of lost revenue for that particular SA insurance and accessories. Still it's disappointing to hear. Not expected from brand like MG especially when it's trying to grow in market.

Hope this does not continue with price hikes in new year.

This was already on my wishlist, thanks for posting a photo of it in use. How quick / cumbersome is it's usage?

Thanks! Maybe it was our car getting driven to the showroom? If it had plates then it couldn’t have been ours.

I feel that this particular branch isn’t being led well. But yes, not taking accessories and insurance played a big role too.

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

Windsor EV sells 10,045 units in 3 months, commands 49% of JSW MG Motor sales.

On the retail sales front, JSW MG Motor India wrapped up 2024 on a very strong note. Total sales of 21,464 EVs are a handsome 125% jump on year-ago numbers (CY2023: 9,523 units), as a result of which its market share has jumped to 21% from 11% in CY2023, giving it the No. 2 rank.
While EV market leader Tata Motors’ share has fallen by 10% to 62% in CY2024, JSW MG Motor India’s has risen by 10 percent YoY.

Maybe because I am following basic battery precaution things. I have never taken battery down below 10%, and usually slow charge from 30% to 100% and do not keep it at 100% for more than couple of hours. So if I want to charge car today, then I reverse calculate from the time I will be using car next day keeping couple of hours as buffer in between and start charging accordingly.

In my research of LFP batteries I have found that doing 30 to 100 is best thing for battery on slow charges unless travelling long distance, and not keeping battery at 100% for much time is also important. Charging from 75-100 is not as good as doing 30-100, and so does 60-100 or 50-100 etc. 30-100 is best spot as per researches I came across.

I have done DC fast charging 4 times in one trip and twice in another till now.

Also I mostly drive in ECO mode now a days not for range but it reduces acceleration jerks significantly and is comfortable in city as well as highways. This mode also reduces sudden current discharges compared to normal and sports mode, which might have contributed to good SOH. now its sitting at 100% on almost 1700km. by the way, LFP batteries SOH reduces in first year and stays almost constant for next 3-4 years so we can expect some reduction in second or third service.

Did anyone here purchase the official MG car cover for the Windsor? If yes, can you please post pictures. Thanks.

Re: MG Windsor EV Review

Is anyone having issues with Apple CarPlay? Especially Apple Music? It is really buggy for me. Music is constantly disrupted with random cutouts.

Steps I've tried:
  1. Soft reboot of both iPhone and car system.
  2. Did forget device on both iPhone and Infotainment System and reconnected it.
  3. Reset network settings on my phone.
  4. Tried to connect via wired route, but the simply fails to acknowledge it. Just charges the phone.
Is it even possible to connect Apple CarPlay as a wired system? If so, any additional steps I need to take. Any and all inputs appreciated. Thanks.

I’m not having issues with music but the wireless connection is random. I have to manually select the phone from the list after pressing CarPlay on the dash in order to enable it most of the time.

I am facing this exact issue. Apple music when played through carplay plays well for first 15-30 mins and then starts getting disrupted slightly and intruptions keep on increasing as time goes by. This is also random. I have observed switching audio destination from carplay to phone speaker (can be changed from iphone notification bar) and then again to carplay resolves the issue temporarily but it occures again after some time. Definitely issue with car's infotenment system. No such issue on android auto.
