Also they mention lifetime warranty on battery only on individual registration - what about company registration?
My sales guy said lifetime warranty is valid for company ownership as well (As long as not a commercial / fleet registration). But having said that, I feel this is just a marketing gimmick - 15 yrs is the lifetime of a car registration. To me 10yrs or 15yrs does not make a big difference, as after so many years an EV car would be outdated like how a Nokia Symbian OS phone is today.

A general question - why haven't we seen a range test of XEV 9e yet?
All the preliminary reports kept claiming that it could easily cover 500 km on a single charge. However, when I drove the car, I found it to be more of a 420-440km range car than a 500 km range car.
I have the same question and it still remains unanswered. Mahindra claims range of about 500 kms for 79 kWh battery. I have been able to get 10 kms test drive in a single go which does not give me much to test range. In my recent test drive the range shown was 265 kms with 65% charge left. This would translate to about 400-450km of real world range on highways. Gaurav from GaadiWaadi was able to get about 380 kms range from 51 kwH Creta Electric. If Mahindra BEVs with 79 kWh battery pack can deliver only 450 kms, then 59 kWh variants might lose out to Creta Electric in range test. There is no long range test done yet, so I would take claims from Mahindra still with a pinch of salt.
I was expecting Mahindra to give BEVs to influencers invited for the launch event. Mahindra gave Thar Roxx to a lot of influencers and we saw them driving the Thar Roxx for 1000+ kms and give some range test outcomes. This was not done for BEVs as I think the pre-production variants look to be MH registered only. The long test drive reviews would have solidified Mahindra claims, if we could see 90%-0% range tests for both BE6 and XEV9E.

I remember that the "Unlimited warranty" is only for individual registration officially from Mahindra. The car will be registered under company name when taken on company lease and after lease ends you become second owner officially. In both cases, Mahindra is providing 10 years of max warranty which should still be good as compared to 7 or 8 years warranty provided by other car manufacturers (Tata, MG, Hyundai, etc.).
I still want to read the terms and conditions listed for 10 year warranty as well as warranty for second owners of company leased car to be more confident in such warranty policy.

My feedback on the connected car tech was to let customers choose their own SIM provider. Mahindra typically chooses IdeaVodafone which does not have good coverage across India.
Mahindra is giving only 1 year of Adrenox subscription on XUV700 and Scorpio-N now as compared to 2 years when these cars were launched. I expect Mahindra to give at least 1 year subscription free.

A lot of these details like real range, subscription charges, service interval, etc. will become clear only with the first ownership reviews. We should have those around mid-march. I have seen a lot of these parked now at two different dealers stockyard (both forbade pics so can't show), so safe to say a good number will be delivered day 1. Current crop has only been bundled with a 11kw charger though and no 7kw one has been shipped from what I got to know. Mahindra should do the delivery start quickly, as the ones I saw, although had white sticker protective film on all large panels, were gathering dust and dew in the open stockyard. Both dealers said they are just waiting for Mahindra to give go-ahead to start deliveries. I am hoping to get one of these lots and have been assured day one delivery. Paying a premium (in terms of agreeing for 11kw charger, higher insurance from them) to be an early adopter and guniea pig. Fingers crossed the gamble turns out OK.

Booked XEV 9e in Red Pack 3 by 9.01 am
And XEV 9e in White Pack 3 by 9.04 am
Booked with 2 different Dealers. Let's see.
Have a Thar ROXX 4x4 AT top trim delivery date promised between Feb 25th and Mar 25th. Will mostly cancel it in favour of XEV 9e.
There may similarly be many overlapping bookings by many individuals.
I managed my booking at 9:07 hampered by the lack of knowledge that Mahindra cars and Mahindra Evs have separate logins.
Since you have done this before (that Rox) when will one become aware of the tentative delivery dates?
Thank you.

This is the reason I would pick higher capacity LPF pack over NMC any day.
Another reason is the risk of fire and after that the problem that NMC batteries release oxygen making the fire very difficult to put out.
In the case of the LFP battery this does not happen. See the nail penetration test videos by BYD and subsequently by Mahindra

Similar state in my city as well. The vehicles have arrived but Mahindra is not ready to deliver. I believe they are still not ready in terms of software updates and mobile app. Even accessories list is not out yet, and the high insurance is still being debated.
IMO, this much time means they are scampering to put things in place. Btw, I am promised delivery on the first lot, and already mentally prepared to face the initial niggles!
I have been promised first lot delivery by the dealer. But I find the insurance to be quite high. Comparing to quotes available online there is a delta of close to 65-75K!!

Hey, are you sure that Mahindra dealers in Delhi have a lot of stock ready to be delivered? Since, this will help me in planning the sale of my current car more effectively. Any idea about what colours would ensure faster delivery?
Though, I have booked white, I would also like to visit the stockyard to see all the colours in person and make a final decision. It would be really helpful if you could share the contact of the dealership person you’re dealing with since I have also booked a car at Sri Durga Mahindra.
Lastly, I think Mahindra dealerships will agree to match the insurance quote from outside or allow to get insurance from outside even for a new car. Members who have purchased Thar Roxx and XUV 700 during the initial phase may please shed further light on this.
A general question - why haven't we seen a range test of XEV 9e yet?
Even the BYD Sealion 7 that was officially launched today has a 100%-0% range test (a couple of those actually), however, even after 4 months of launch, there is no video detailing the range test of Mahindra twins.
All the preliminary reports kept claiming that it could easily cover 500 km on a single charge. However, when I drove the car, I found it to be more of a 420-440km range car than a 500 km range car. I tried contacting the showroom for a range test but was constantly denied. Not sure why prominent reviewers haven't been able to get the car for range test yet!
The Mahindra's will comfortable cover around 430 - 470kms at highway speeds of 100kms driven sedately. At higher speeds of around 130 - 170, expect the car to do around 350 - 380kms. At lower speeds in city limits it would comfortable do 500kms per charge. This range difference is applicable to all EVs. I currently drive a ZS EV which has clocked 1.5lakh kms. Driving an Ev is not the same as driving an ICE car. You got to be light footed during long drives to extract the maximum range. The test drive cars would show far lesser range as it is driven fast and rash by customers.

Hi Team, this is my first post on this Forum. Feedback will be appreciated and open to answer any queries.
A little background, been using the XUV 700 AX7 Petrol variant which is a company car for the last 1.5 years and it has been a delight with the amazing features and power, though with the expected drawback of the less than ideal fuel efficiency.
We were orginally planning to upgrade our 2019 diesel Tata Harrier Diesel top model (Tata had just nailed the looks of this car) with a Toyota Innova Hycross ZX variant (waiting period of 6 monthsas oer dealership), but after my mom happened to see a test drive BE 6 on road we changed our minds. I know it's nowehere close to in size or form factor, but given that mom has never shown interest in cars ever, this is the first time she actually found a car that is good looking.
Happen to stay right next to a Mahindra showroom in Mumbai, so one day just popped right in to check out the car with my parents. While heading over, the plan was that the XUV 700 would become the family car and I'll get the BE 6. Unfortunately while the looks of the BE6 were stunning, the practicality and space of the car was just not there. My family is fairly tall and I'm 6'2" so the car definitely felt very small and given the costing it didn't seem much value despite the performance and features that the car is loaded with.
Next we tried the XEV 9e and boy was it an instant hit with everyone. Though the exterior looks aren't as good, the feel of the cabin was much more refined even compared to our XUV 700 and parents approved of it due to the space and feel right away. So impressed was my dad with the car that we booked it right away even without a test drive. We ended up booking the top model (Pack 3) with the 11 kv charger, in the everest white colour which I'm sure is going to be super popular, by giving a 21k booking amount on 11th Jan (they were taking bookings offline and then did the actual booking on 14th Feb as expected.)
I checked with the other dealer where I had got the company car for the on road pricing since I found that the overall On-road car price which this dealer was quoting was much higher than i would have calculated or seen on sites like car dekho. The biggest culprit being the super expensive Insurance costs that dealers like to add on. any inputs on that will be highly appreciated.
I have attached the price lists from both the showrooms and the accessory list that was provided to me by the other dealership in mumbai (Price list for the accessories was not handy with them at the time).
After the booking, we wanted to test drive the car specifically in the everest white colour (the showroom had the Red colour in display which i didn't like since the body colour and tail lights tend to merge when not in use). We took the test drive on 15th Feb. The car was lined up against my Harrier and XUV 700 (sadly didn't take photos, which i promise will do after i get my car delivered). The car sizes up even larger in length than both cars, though a bit shorter in height.
The car was such a stunner that all the drivers hanging around my building gathered around to ogle at this beauty. After admiring the car and agreeing that this was the best colour choice we sat in the car and once we started the car went all kiddish. The amount of features that we demoed was brilliant. I was left super impressed with the VirtualX headsup dsiplay which was implemented pretty well and functional in terms of showing crisp visuals and neatly placed including popping up to show blind spot alerts as well in a very noticeable yellow. The sound sytem seemed pretty good but will have to test it properly once I have the car for a longer period.
Took a 7km test drive and was super impressed by it's driving dynamics, power and comfort of the suspensions. Coming from the Xuv 700 I would say this is better in every way. The only drawback for me was that compared to the XUV 700 the seat height and space just doesn't match but guess will get used to the same. while driving and keeping my foot on the accelerator I also tried the different drive modes and the changes are pretty noticeable. The regen levels and One pedal driving worked flawlessly and was pretty intutive. Tried the Auto park and key control features and it did a perfect job in my testing. Easily reached speeds of 120kmph without a sweat and honestly even while cruising at 70 kmph didn't feel like we were driving at that high speed. The steering also weighed up nicely with the increase in speeds. This is definitely not for amateur drivers though since this is an extremely potent and powerful car.
All in all, the car impressed me on all counts and left little to desire except for the cabin space and the boot height since the storage feels slighltly cramped, although makes do with the additional Frunk space i guess. I really have no additional accessories that I can think of that I would want to add to my car from outside shops like I had done with my Xuv 700 (Ambient Lights, DashCam etc.)
From the Dealer accessories I plan to get the Mud Flaps and Touch Screen protector and maybe the door visors. Everything else just sees unecessary.
Super excited to get my hands on the car which the dealership told me will be in the later half of March. The nerd in me I'm pretty sure is going to be playing around with all the features for months.

Friends, is there a cancellation charge on booking ? For xuv700, scorpio-n, etc., they charged in some cases and not all.
Hence the curiosity for this electric series.
As per my dealership there is no charges for booking cancellation.

Sri Durga had multiple cars in Blue and White, all waiting ready to deliver. No other color was in stock that I saw. They have a red too but was a TD vehicle.
