Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

I have changed my booking from white to black. Dealership is asking for 1L to allot the car in my name. I know this is not mandatory but still its just 1 lakh.

I wish to know does Mahindra/dealership share any tentative delivery date, proforma invoice, sales contract and booking payment receipts?

Audi did this but with Mahindra everything till now is just verbal. I had just received one email regarding a white car being allotted and billed to the dealership from Mahindra for me.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

I did the PDI today at the stockyard, I could examine the car, both internal and external, but was not allowed to switch the car on. I was told that the car had just been unloaded and the software update was yet to be done. Their own PDI was pending as well.

I still haven't got confirmation on the insurance. I need to make the payment on Monday to get the delivery on 16th. I asked about the chargers, he said that's for the next lot of booking, not this one. I did see the charger box inside the car so it's probably billed with it.

With various dates being discussed in our forum, could someone confirm how final/promising these dates are? also any clarity on the following points-

- Invoicing Status: Has invoicing been completed?
- Charger Cancellations: For those who initially booked chargers but later opted out after Mahindra’s confirmation, are dealerships processing refunds or adjusting the amount with accessories?
- ME4U App Launch: There is no visibility on this yet, any updates on the timeline?
- Accessories Pricing: Are the pricings out anywhere?

Last update was that the initial date planned was 10th and now with some S/W updates on the production cars are taking time and Mahindra doesnt have definitive timeline. For now the next delivery is 14th/16th march. how true these dates too Please throw some lights

Were the dates confirmed by the dealership? Were you able to make a note of your Chassis/VIN details? So you mean to say the first batch customers have to take the car along with the chargers?

I finally got my billing receipts, OTF number, and customer number after many escalations. I didn't receive any confirmation for my payments, even after paying the full invoice amount, not including insurance. I was told that priorities were shifting between VIP customers. I recommend everyone to have their OTF number and check it with Mahindra customer care to avoid confusion. They gave me a random BE6 OTF number just to calm me down, which led to more issues, but now everything is sorted. I'm no longer worried about missing my allotment.

I have also booked black and they asked me also for some money to allot the chassis and get the procedure started like charger site inspection etc. I paid 50k - got a receipt for it also.

Yup, 16th was confirmed by the sales rep. I did the PDI of the car assigned to me and noted down the chassis number. However, when I put in the Chassis no. In the M4U app, it says this is a commercial vehicle

And yes, he indicated that the first batch customers will have to take the charger.

MSEDCL Green Meter Charges in Thane – Breakdown & Insights

I recently looked into MSEDCL charges for green meters in Thane and wanted to share my findings with fellow members, as getting clear information from EV dealers was quite challenging. I hope this proves useful, especially for first-time EV owners navigating the setup process.

MSEDCL Bill Breakdown:

- Tariff & Classification: Green meters are categorized under the "Industrial" tariff, priced at ₹6.58 per unit. Although there are supposed to be discounted rates during non-peak hours (10 PM – 6 AM), this discount is currently unavailable due to a hardware (meter) limitation. The new meters are expected to be dispatched in the coming weeks.
- Demand Charges: Calculated based on the highest recorded demand (in kVA) during the billing period. Typically, a billed demand of 6 kVA is applied at a rate of ₹80 per kVA, amounting to ₹480 per month.
- Wheeling Charges: ₹1.17 per kWh, applied per unit of electricity consumed.
- Electricity Duty (E.D.): A 7.50% tax on the total billed amount, imposed by the government.
- Contract Demand: The maximum demand (in kVA) agreed between the consumer and MSEDCL. The billed demand is usually 6 kVA.
- FAC (Fuel Adjustment Charge): A variable charge reflecting fluctuations in fuel costs for power generation. Currently calculated at ₹0.75 per unit.

Example shared below.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Has anyone here seeked clarity on opting out of the mandatory charger while getting the 1st batch of the 9E’s?

Also, Delhi residents where BSES Rajdhani is supplying the electricity, request some guidance regarding applying for a green meter as BSES helpline is mostly unresponsive and I don’t know if I can get a Tata power green meter in my area since electricity is supplied by BSES Rajdhani.

Few days back they had visited and checked the feasibility for installation and based on my current max demand, they recommended me to upgrade my EB line's max load by +5kW, which I did.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Has anyone received confirmation on 9E allocation with 20 inch wheels? My dealer says Mahindra is shipping cars with only 19 inch wheels and they have not provided any ETA for 20 inch option.

I was told by the survey team to install a 25A 4 pole MCB as a pre-requisite at my own cost. Would want to know if it's the same for other places as well.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Hi Everyone,

So far there haven't been any official updates from M&M regarding the delivery dates. We were hoping to have some clarity by the end of this week, but those dates are still uncertain. Dealership also confirmed the same that the official dates are not released yet and added that If deliveries are set for March 15th or 16th, the RTO process should have started by now, or at least invoicing should be underway. It looks like M&M is delaying the delivery again, which might lessen the excitement for the car due to the wait. Has anyone else received similar updates from their dealerships? How is the process going for you? Are the delivery dates looking promising?

Note: The car assigned to me arrived at the yard two weeks ago. Similarly most of the dealerships has already received their 1st batch of vehicles.

I completed my invoicing and payment on 7 March. They informed me that delivery would be available on 15 March, but since my family is traveling, we deferred the same to 21 March.

I removed the essential accessory from the invoicing since they could not tell me what that covers.

Pricing for the accessories is still awaited.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Pricing for the accessories as provided by the dealership attached. I got the Vin 3 weeks back and checked the car against the Vin over the weekend. Didn't do a detailed pdi since want to do that just before delivery. The SA says delivery between 16-20th. The wait is excruciating.
