Strangely, its not visible even in Mahindra’s own promotional pictures as well as launch. Reviewers don’t show it either including our own Team BHP review.
I am attaching screenshots from a YouTube video. Channel name is “car elite” Logo projection and it even projects good bye when you exist the vehicle.

If you look closely scratches are on factory installed thin plastic shipping protection film which dealers usually don’t remove and not the actual screen.

This could be a good business opportunity

Still Unclear. My SA mentioned that the keys might arrive on Mar 20th or by the end of this weekend. He explained that the replacement keys are sent out in phased manner. Besides what the dealership has shared, shouldn't we also hear from M&M, similar to how they announced the booking dates? I suppose we just have to wait for official updates.

Absolutely, they should make changes for everyone. My SA mentioned that this was one of the reason for the delivery delay. Honestly, I still have my doubts about it, but if there’s a change that affects things, they definitely need to apply it to the first lot of customers too. We haven’t received any official announcement yet, so we’ll just have to wait until the deliveries start happening.

My SA told me that the new keys are only for next lots and for the ones which are already with dealers won't get it.

So much uncertainty everywhere regarding these vehicles so far. First it was chargers being mandatory, then the delivery dates and now keys.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Had Visited the Showroom today with a friend who wanted to TD the XEV 9e. Surpringly Carplay was missing after the update apparently on the car. (AA was present). Only the front speakers were working from what i could hear, which is extremely weird.

On the delivery front they told me it's been moved to 25th or 26th of March.

Booked the accessories i wanted and made the payment against the same. Got them to discount 3k of the final price.

attaching both, the price list of the packages and the booking i have done.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

The Mahindra rep at the showroom had told me that Mahindra has made the charger optional now for even the first batch in case one has a charger installed already or in case someone is buying 2 of the BEVs or in case someone doesn’t wish to upgrade to 3 phase and increase the sanctioned load.

I fall in the last category and I was planning on charging the car using 15A only. But my SA at the dealership is saying that charger is mandatory since the Mahindra has billed these cars to the dealership with the charger and has paid the full amount to Mahindra.

Mahindra hasn’t communicated to the dealerships whether they will purchase the chargers back from the dealership or what. Thus if i opt out of the charger, my waiting period will be 4 months as a fresh booking will be made which is obviously a scare tactic since they’re sitting on a lot of stock

Also, the website still doesn’t display a option to book the car without a charger. Lastly, according to the SA, some BE6’s have come with a 7kw charger

No clarity on the key fob change so far but SA is committing for a 20th-21st March delivery.

Anyone figure out how to get out of the charger deal? Any email to escalate this to Mahindra?

Where is this third category coming from? I thought the publicly states policy had these 3 exceptions:
  • If a provision for a private EV charger is lacking at the customer’s residence or workplace.
  • If a Mahindra-approved charger is already available to the customer.
  • If the customer buys multiple Mahindra EVs and gets a charger for at least one model.

I would like a charger (for future proofing, if nothing else) and I have adequate load, but my car is parked very far from the meter, so I'm not sure if its even feasible to install one. Everything has gone cold from the dealer/ MM side (probably coz of Holi weekend). Unless they survey, I can't pay them anything and move towards delivery, else I'll be stuck with a 11kw charger, with nowhere to install.

The third category i have stated should be part of the first point you have mentioned : lack of provision to install charger.

My sanctioned load is 3kw and i have 1 phase only. BSES or my RWA can deny permission for the necessary upgrade and Mahindra Powerol team isn’t seeking permissions on my behalf.

As per Mahindra representatives who visited my premises they can install the charger no matter how far the meter is from the place of installation , 15 m of wire is complimentary and for the rest they would charge approximately Rs 600 per meter including installation and flexible pipe, also he mentioned that there can be no joint in the wire from the meter to the charger.
