Escalation Process:
1. Step 1: Send an email to Level 1 and CC Level 2.
2. Step 2: If there is no response within 2 business days, forward the original email to Level 1 and Level 2, and CC Level 3.
3. Step 3: Continue this pattern, escalating to the next level every 2 days if no satisfactory response is received.

In My case, I think escalating to these higher Ups through email helped me. I had escalated to them on 2nd April and I got my car delivered on 7th, however I got confirmation that my car is ready for delivery on 3rd April. So It took only 1 day after escalating. Strange thing was, my complaint was forwarded to same dealer against whom I had raised it. . Also my email to Mr. Samir Rawte was undelivered.

Thank You DeKay.

I would click some goo photos in this weekend trip and post here with update.

So far I have 2 main concern:-

1. Apple Car play not working (It is working on test drive cars, I have personally checked yesterday. My SA confirmed that test drive car is still on old software that's why Apple car play is working)

2. Sound quality - I have connected through Android Auto, but the sound quality I had experienced in test drive car was very next level. And what I am getting in my car is not even 30% of that.

I hope future software update can help to manage these issues.

Based on my personal experience, addressing the issue directly with the General Manager at the dealership was far more effective. While customer care would likely have escalated the matter to the dealer in due course, an in-person meeting helped save time and added a sense of urgency and importance to the conversation. Although I had to wait around 30 minutes, the face-to-face interaction made a noticeable impact.

The page below is maintained by Apple and will get updated once the BEV gets a CarPlay certification. Post this listing, the update will be rolled out.

According to ATIC Testing & Certification, a reputed global automotive certification and testing service provider:

"The certification process of Apple CarPlay includes application, integration, pre-certification, testing, and audits, and it usually takes about 10 months to complete."

Source: https://www.atic-ts.com/introduction...certification/

Can any industry insiders or folks with OEM experience confirm if this timeline is accurate?

Also, if this holds true, are we realistically looking at no Apple CarPlay until late 2025 for 9E?

I don't think this has anything to do with it. Tata's Curvv isn't listed here, neither are Toyota's Hyryder/Hycross or Kia's Syros, but they all have CarPlay.

This works. I have sent mail to level 1 and level 2. A mail was sent to CEO and sales head of the dealer chain from Mahindra. It was escalated to showroom guys and I got call from them as well. Was told the delivery will be done within this week but let's see. Fingers crossed.

These emails are no longer working I guess. My emails to Samir Rawte, Salil Pawar, Parag Kulkarani and Reeti Nageshwari just bounced back.

Also, I had used my official email ID which is used primarily to email CXO’s of large corporates.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Did a 880km highway trip over weekend with full family of 5+2 and packed luggage. Destination: Rajasthan with temps around 42c. Family was super comfortable and sleeping most of the time.

Mahindra XEV 9e Review-img20250407wa0091.jpg

Leg 1: 436 KMs done on highway in 74% Soc. Did charge 13kwh in a 16 min quick coffee take away break. Drive was in Power Saving mode at 85-90km/hr speed. Average trip speed is around 55km/hr, which is very decent for NH. Total trip 879km.

The car can easily cross 500km on highway runs below 100km/hr speeds in 1 full charge!
I did 436 kms with 16% SoC remaining , which would mean around 560km of full 0 to 100% SoC drive.

Few quick 20mins DCFC can result into over 1000km of distance in 1 day easily.
Mahindra XEV 9e Review-img20250407wa0092.jpg

The car is super quick in DCFC. 22Kw at 98%!! The general EV rule to leave charging station at 80% doesn't apply much to these cars.

Speeds, which I was maintaining.
Mahindra XEV 9e Review-img20250405wa0032.jpg

These are the EVs we all were waiting for!

Very impressive figures! Just curious - did you happen to use adaptive cruise control during your drive?

Though the dealership + service centre people went in hyperactive mode and called me to the service centre and had called people from Mahindra Research Valley to fix my issues and take logs for the other issues they weren’t able to fix.

Issues persisting:
1) All 3 screens blanked out once
2) Consumption is mostly around 4.9-5.5 Km/Kwh though I got 7.3 km/Kwh in the morning today
3) Occasional tire pressure monitor sensor error in rear left tire
4) Car made a weird grinding noise similar to rumble strip sound once (Could be some ADAS functionality too)
5) Ambient light colours reset always when custom colours are set
6) Secure 360 emergency recordings do not record events if car is banged or is hit or scratched while parked
7) Interior exterior sounds get reset on every start
8) Sound system quality is not as good as test drive cars even though they are saying amplifier was disabled on test drive cars and it is enabled in customer cars
9) Park button takes a hard press and doesn’t always switch to park from drive (Service centre said park can only be enabled after 3 seconds of car not moving)
10) Radio starts playing at loud volume on every start and mute button only works after 15-20 seconds
11) The setting to turn on cabin lights when doors open gets reset every time (Centre button on the roof)
12) Lag between interior and exterior recording in Secure 360 emergency recording (Interior camera shows car is stopped while exterior cameras show car is moving)
13) Boost mode has a lag in turning on while one pedal mode and drive mode changes is immediate
14) Regen mode was not changing once and couldn’t see regen setting
15) Secure 360 takes a long time to be visible on the phone

Issues resolved:
1) Park in Park out (Car moving forward and backward) is working now
2) Autopark is working but requires certain preconditions to function
3) me4you app is finally working for me
4) Driver monitor is working but no audio warning
5) Can turn car AC turn with key fob now
6) Boot was not closing with the boot close button on the boot. They fixed this by loosening the rubber bits on the boot interior

Features missing:
1) Apple CarPlay
2) User profiles
3) Eyedentity
4) Sound system quality
5) NFC Card not issued
6) Proximity unlock and lock
7) MAIA voice control/other features
8) Option to start car in last set drive mode
9) Valet mode if it should be there
10) Pawpal and other smart AC features
11) Sentry mode not really working
12) Option to play bluetooth music on every car start

I got to know that many of the missing features will be coming in the next software update which will be OTA and will be coming in a week or so.

Also, the service centre replaced a part called “Cradle Ground Cable replacement” as Mahindra has issued a recall for the same. 1st picture has the new cable and the other pictures have the old cable.

Re: Mahindra XEV 9e Review

Has anyone started to receive a service reminder on the Instrument Cluster?

I have driven close to 1300 kms and started to receive this reminder everytime the car is turned on.
