As of now, my booking status shows "payment failed," and the amount has been deducted from my account. However, the sales advisor said that the booking had been completed and shared the dealer booking receipt with me. They say I don't need to worry because this is the same situation for all the offline bookings they have processed. Now I am confused about whether my booking has been successfully made and reached Mahindra, and whether I should wait until March or cancel the booking and make a new one online.

Re: Mahindra BE 6 Review

I got a call from the Mahindra team for charger installation. This team is not associated with the dealerships and is operated by Mahindra directly. Ive scheduled a visit or a video call to go through the process. Ill let you all know how that goes.

Thank you Devdivin, would look forward to your post detailing how the charger installation process would look like for the BE6 and Xev9. I can go out on a limb here and say that yours probably would be one of the first deliveries and can most probably happen on the first 2 weeks of March.

To see if there's any pattern, if you don't mind can you share your masked booking ID , color and the place of booking. i am assuming you booked a pack3.

I will definitely keep posting here with all the updates.

I wish my car gets delivered by the first 2 weeks of March. I have booked the Pack 3 in Desert Myst Satin with the 11kw charger. I was definitely one of the first to place my pre-booking but sadly due to some issues with my dealer I had to change my dealership at the last minute. I did request the dealer to prioritize my booking but my Booking ID is B-1071xxxx. I have a feeling I'm further down the queue unless they do take into consideration my last minute change.

I also have a feeling the dealerships will not follow the queue because most people might have to go through the financing option and get approvals from banks which I assume might take time, therefore pushing people who are ready to pay upfront up the queue.
Atleast thats the only reason I can think of for getting the I stallation call this early on.

I went from almost taking delivery of the Tata curvv to this as my second car, so its been a long wait for me and I can't wait to get behind the wheel now.

Frankly I'm thinking of a portable genset with the 9E (has boot to spare) v/s no genset with the 6.

Looks after range anxiety on those Ladhak runs. So I would assume.

Is that a feasible option? Something like an Ecoflow Delta has a 1kwh battery, so that's good enough only for 6-7 km. And a diesel genset would weigh close to 50kg. With the loading lip of the boot so high, you're gonna get a good deadlift workout!

Potentially a ‘hernia’.
After a certain age one should not lift dead weights like that.

Why worry when you have RSA. Just relax and call RSA and you will be taken to the nearest charger.

Some of these roads are also narrow and we will get a good idea of how the car handles them.
.
1.It is a wide vehicle - very comparable to most modern vehicles and their proportions. Hence you may find it little wide on the narrow hill roads and with the mirrors sticking out, you’ll have to be careful when passing other vehicles and letting other bigger oncoming vehicles pass.
2. The suspension is fantastic so without fear one can get off the road onto the verge as may be necessary especially on the narrow bandipur and mudumalai stretches, in order to pass other vehicles or allow oncoming traffic to pass.
3. All wheel drive will be superb and grippy on the twisty roads. Especially when it is wet during the monsoons.
4. Its chassis tuning is fantastic and the handling is very confident. You can attack the curves fearlessly. its stiffer suspension make it like a sports car. And its power delivery is the icing on the cake. However, it is so powerful that we have to resist the temptation to step on it, so as to remain within the safe driving limits within the National Parks and the narrow hill roads.
5. Considering its overall range capabilities I would not worry too much about range drop when climbing those 36 hairpin bends provided you start your journey from Bangalore with a full charge and drive as per the speed limits on the highways, through the jungle and up the hills.

RSA is slow, generally unreachable, and I've had lame experiences. Most of the roads we did in the thar are without any cellular. Also I think I'll stick to the scorpio for Ladhak, surely..

50 is fun! 50 kilos when reaching into that high trunk will not be fun. Point noted.

I have a 512 WH ecoflow that I will be 'boot' - strapping to the car since it takes 12V in (which is all the car has to offer as V2L) and chucks out a decent wattage.I'm thinking of a lighter petrol genset, perhaps an AIO model that is contained, and silent. They trend towards 20 kilos and put out a decent amount. Will hunt and see if I can find a good model. For instance - the model linked here does 1.8KW sustained, is under 20 kilos. https://amzn.in/d/3lYDEVg

I'll also prefer petrol since it's better in colder climates and the machine is silent in comparison.

Can you give more details on the power output? It says running wattage of 1800W, has a 3.7l petrol tank and a consumption of 0.9l/hr. How many kW does it translate to before it runs out of juice aka consumption/kWH? What is the peak power output? 2.3 kW?

So if you do need to go to a petrol pump to top it up, I presume the pump would have a 16A plug point to which you can anyway connect the portable charger and charge it at 3.3 kW.

Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly intrigued at this idea, but want to understand if it's really worth the effort and how much of practical range would it add.

There is a prominent reviewer on YouTube with the name of Gagan Choudhary, he replied to someone on his youtube video stating that the vehicle has V2L. Now I am not sure if this is indeed true. Do we have any concrete source stating that the car does not have V2L?

How would you compare the handling and confidence of XEV 9E compared to BE 6? I have driven both but didn’t get to drive the BE6 extensively to gauge the handling difference if any.

Short answer.
The Be6 is an Electric Sports Tuned ‘relatively compact’ SUV. It is the preferred weapon of choice for the driving enthusiast, between the two.
The XEV9 is a big fella. More suited for family travels despite its power and handling. Suitable if you want a vehicle to transport your family comfortably and capably.
