Most of Creta ICE sales are from NA IVT, NA Manual and Diesel variants. These set of buyers are different than the ones who would buy Creta EV. Creta Electric is priced at a premium as compared to Windsor, so naturally the sale was bound to be lesser. Windsor top end is at ₹16lakh ex-showroom while Creta 42kWh Smart(O) is at ₹19.5lakh ex-showroom. There is difference of ₹3.5 lakh between these 2 cars which is a lot of money.
Although considering brand Creta, Hyundai would have expected at least 2000 sales a month. We also need to remember that Hyundai do not have any India specific Born Electric in pipeline for the future. Creta EV was their big bet towards EV transformation

Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

I took delivery of my Emerald green creta Ev last Sunday (23rd Feb). I chose smart(O) LR as my variant. I am not a big fan of ADAS in Indian roads. I saw the news of creta ev just touching 600 deliveries in February. It seems they are manufacturing against the booking and the deliveries are just starting. My car vin was issued two days before my delivery, which was a surprise as i thought Hyundai would have atleast stock piled couple of thousand cars during launch. The waiting period was almost 1 month.
I'm really happy with the car. It is really spacious and drives fantastic. I have driven close to 100000km in evs.( Owned both nexon ev and ev max before this). I've not charged the car after delivery and it just touched 200km and I'm getting 9.1 km/kwh which is 450+ real life range. My nexon twins never even got close to that

yes, it is robust emerald matte. I am thinking to get PPF as it is matte, but mixed reviews of PPF is confusing me. Seems hand wash for life it is.

Congratulations on acquiring Emerald matte Creta. The colour looks nice and unique. At first glance I thought it was Titan Grey matte but emerald colour was more clear in the first image.

Can you share insurance cost and what all coverage is included in the policy? It will help new customers to gauge insurance cost and prices of add-ons like EV battery protection.

I paid 128k for insurance ( It was bundled with my car loan with HDFC). 3 year B2B, consumable cover, battery, charger & motor cover, PA cover for 4 occupants and driver etc.

Congratulations on your new year. Wish you a lot of happy miles.
Did you exchange the Nexon.ev with Hyundai dealer for this car?

Congratulations!

What made you pick this over the Mahindra twins? I am planning to purchase an EV in a few months, so need to decide.

no I sold it outside. Resale market is tough for old EV cars. but I got decent price from a genuine buyer

First reason- Mahindra is selling 30 lakhs car advertised as 19 lakhs. Pack 1, 2 or Pack 3 select versions are not even in production and I do not think we can get it this year.

Second reason- There is an increase in road tax by Kerala Govt going live in April. From 5% to 10%.

I am not at all disappointed by my decision. This car is really great. I am easily getting 9-10Km/KWh

Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

Hello Team, Has anyone managed to obtain a walkaround video of the Creta Electric Executive Variant? Even if it offers 180 to 200 km per charge, it would be good to go; this would replace my Vento Tdi. I am okay with a smaller battery pack because my driver would be driving it to drop off and pick up the kids from school and go on a weekly planned trip to the farm house, which is around 75 kms one way. None of the Hyundai dealers in Hyderabad that I have gotten in touch with have the Executive variant on display.
Thanks

Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

I test drove the Creta EV a few days ago, and here are my observations comparing it to my TATA Nexon EV Max:

Drove the car about 15 kilometers. Got an efficiency of about 8.2 km/kwh with spirited driving so 340 km from 100% --> 15% should be easily achievable. For reference, I usually get around 8.7 km/kWh on the Nexon EV Max.
  1. Very intuitive to drive; everything functions as expected. Did not notice any software issues.
  2. The software experience is excellent. Inbuilt EV features are very useful for long trips. Don't have to use 5 different apps, payment and charging initiation can happen through the car itself.
  3. Most of the features can be turned on/off. It remembers your settings when you turn the car off and then on again.
  4. Visibility out of the car is good. Gave me confidence to drive faster than I would drive the Nexon.
  5. Build quality, fit and finish is top notch. Everything is covered up nicely: no dangling wires, no weird noises from the plastics in the car.
  6. A bit obvious but has a lot more space than the Nexon. Seats are more comfortable and lot more legroom in the rear. Configurable steering and 8-way adjustable seat allows you to configure the seating exactly as you need.
  7. Lot of attention to detail: Seat pockets, cup holders, adjustable steering and many such minor things that make living with the car much more pleasant.
Cons:
  1. I felt that the suspension is a bit better tuned on the Nexon.
  2. Noticed slightly more wind noise compared to the Nexon EV Max.

The car is properly insulated. Being a test drive car, maybe the sunroof/windows may be not fully closed? Also I felt the suspension better in Creta EV, and bigger tyres do help. My main gripe is lack of wireless android auto, and I even tried to connect it through my USB C but the system was not detecting it (asked for compatible wire). But the inbuilt navigation is really good. The connected features are also free for 3 years, not 1 year like tata cars. Also remote features do work, everybody who used Zconnect app knows how unreliable the app is.
