Bookings for the Hyundai Creta Electric Long Range are split between models without and with an 11kW home charger (sold separately for Rs 73,000). The range-topping Excellence LR variant with the charger saw the highest 54 percent of bookings, followed by Smart (O) LR with 4 percent.

Whereas, the charger devoid Excellence LR trim saw 16 percent bookings and the Smart (O) LR variant got 3 percent. According to the bookings data, a majority of Creta EV buyers preferred having the electric SUV with the home charger.

Did Hyundai manage to sell all 2696 Creta Electric in past 2 months?

The past 1 month dispatch were actual deliveries and those were close to 700 cars only. The first dispatches that were sent to dealerships in Jan were display and test drive cars from what I have understood. I have visited 3-4 different dealerships and each had 1 display Creta Electric and 1 test drive car, so 2 cars on an average per showroom.

Pretty sure they are stating the wholesale numbers and not retail.

How did you arrive at the 2696 number? As per Vahan, Hyundai has sold 1100 odd EVs since the delivery start of Creta and this includes the IONIQ5 as well.

See this thread for Hyundai numbers - link (February 2025: Electric Car Sales Figures & Analysis)

Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

Hyundai has done a good job with battery management of creta electric. With proper driving car is even capable of achieving range more than what is claimed.

What is the range that you are getting? Are you getting 500+ range?

I touched 438Km yesterday with 27% battery left, easily could have touched 500 Km. After full charge yesterday my car is now showing estimated range of 576 Km. It is too early to conclude, but I'm constantly getting 10+ km/Kwh.
Also I'm driving with everything On (AC, Music system, light etc)

This sounds almost too good to be true! Could you share more details, such as your driving route, city or highway, weather conditions, driving style, average and top speeds, number of passengers, and luggage load?

If the Creta EV is consistently achieving 10 km/kWh under normal driving conditions, that would be a remarkable efficiency record. For reference, the EV database lists the Tesla Model 3 as one of the most efficient EVs, with a consumption of 137 Wh/km, or 7.3 km/kWh.

Re: 2025 Hyundai Creta Electric Review

Hyundai has always had an efficiency advantage. Since before even the Kona. Their OG Hyundai Ioniq (the 2016 one, not the ioniq 5) was also the most efficient EVs at that time. I don't know why they don't talk about this more. Their batteries go further than everyone else's.

Here's a quote from the Ioniq wiki

Quote:
From its first model year (2017) through the 2019 model year, the Ioniq Electric had been the EPA's most efficient vehicle with a rated fuel economy of 136 miles per gallon gasoline equivalent (24.8 kWh/100 mi; 15.4 kWh/100 km)

My conclusion is - this car loves city driving. The regen mode of creta is tuned really well. My previous nexon twins used to give me best range in highways. In the case of creta, i can feel the regen work from the get go even after a full charge. I have attached screen shots of my first 50km/10% after a full charge. In theory the car should return the worst range at this stage, but it is returning 9.5km/kwh.

Good to see that you are getting a range of nearly 500 Kms in single charge and this instills the confidence in getting ourselves a Creta EV replacing our 2023 Hycross Hybrid as daily driver though Hycross will be retained for other purposes and the EV will be replacing my 2014 Honda City iDTEC, which has run close to 2L Kms (194k Kms to be precise).

Also, how much range does this car give on highway drives?

On the other hand, my friend, who bought Creta EV a month ago, has reported the similar range and ran 3000 Kms till date. Apart from Creta EV, he also owns 2023 ZS EV, which gives similar range as Creta but bit less in reality and 2022 Hector CVT.

I would say equally good in highways. I have attached a photo of today's highway trip(Cochin to trissur). I rarely exceed 80km/h and a seasoned ev driver ( almost 100k km driven )
