reva is about to introduce li-ion batteries in their cars, but they are already overpriced. this car (if released at that price) seems a far better option.

My guess is that the car would run much lesser if 4 persons were seated. There should be more to it than plain 130km per recharge.

I don't know much about electric cars, somebody enlighten me, please.

the new reva-i does 100 kms, but it also sucks another 1.5 lacs off your pocket. what does maini think they are? bmw ? that too for a car seating only 2 ppl. chinese or otherwise, 2 lacs is a reasonable price to pay for an electric car that is automatic too and does 100+ kms, not 5 lacs! and if this car is launched, yes i shall buy it.

Moreover, it looks more like a normal car.

I would definitely buy it if launched at this price. Would make a great car for city driving.

I will be interested, but will seriously consider buying it only after it proves itself in the market.

By then the 'ispesshl' (special) introductory price would be taken off.

Specs look good (Hope there is no * which states "with extended battery pack").
Make much sense to have this in India if the on-road price is around 2 lakhs.

This will also be in competition with Rs.1 Lac car of Tata. Will certainly see the condition of this and will jump in for this.

Now `chinese' and `lead' are two words you dont want to hear in the same sentence!

Looks nice, small decent to drive, and environment friendly. Might buy - but stinks cheapness all through! :|

Will seriously think about it, only if at that price tag it does not says, # Batteries not included. IMHO the price looks too good to be true.
