If I remember reading correctly, the 30 number is on first come first serve basis. Also, the lease would probably be applicable for more employees, but only the first 30 will receive the 6K/ month for getting the car. Also, there is the 70K or so subsidy that the indian government already provides, when you buy a Reva, so you can own the car quite cheap.

I work at SAP. Am very happy about this initiative from SAP.
@Tommie & Hodlur: There are 5 to 6 new parking places created at the moment with charging points and these are reserved for Revas.

There was also a Go Green Day organised at office where every employee had the chance to test drive the Reva and get their questions clarified.

I also hear about some subsidy from the govt one gets to enjoy (around 75K if am not wrong).

It is a good initiave by SAP. Though it is also a cost effective PR work to be on news

I have noticed in McAfee Bangalore provides Charging point for their employees, and people prompt in charging it every day, even if they stay 5 KM distance. So no running cost for them.

I will consider the new EV from Reva Mahindra than buying the current outdated model. Even most of the SAP people also should be buying it once available here.

Tata, when are you launching Vista EV in India?

The car is on a lease policy, and will be on the company's name. As per the rules it has to be in possession of the employee, and should be in the same state as well.

I dont think starter or even me for that matter would put our job at stake just to get anyone a Reva.

The car can only be bought on lease for a period of 3 years .

You need not make any down payment and can bring home the car without paying a single rupee. There are a few other benefits in the lease that I am not sure if i can reveal here though .
