Try Petcetera Home Stays. They take excellent care of their doggie boarders. Do book early if you have a vacation planned - they only take in a few dogs at a time and they're very much in demand.

Re: Team-BHPians and their Pets

Thanks, hooloovoo. Heard some excellent reports about Petcetra Home Stays. Only issue is that we are based in Secunderabad and this homestay is somewhere near Manikonda; quite a distance. Was looking for somewhere nearer home.

Re: Team-BHPians and their Pets

I rescued a kitten a few months ago and nurtured him all these days. Sadly the kitten was mauled by stray dogs before my house. I took it to the Vet who asked me to wait for 2 days. He is on antibiotics and pain killer. Cats are supposed to have self preservation instinct which was unfortunately missing in this kitten.

Such beautiful pictures. I'm so envious of you guys posting pictures of your pets. I lost my doggy this year and after seeing such pictures I miss him so much. The loss is unbearable. I visit his burial site every month on the 19th.

How do you deal with this ?!?! 😢

You remember the good times you had with Goofy, and get another pet as soon as possible. Nothing like getting another pet to take away the loss. I have 10 strays that have adopted us over the past 4 years + a neighbours pooch who walks in and out whenever he wants.

As with everything, time.
I lost 2 of the 3 girls I had posted on this thread some years ago. One to a heart condition at age 7, which was extremely difficult. The other at a ripe old age of 14. Its always difficult, although, if you're mechanical about it, you know that you will see them go. Its nature. Some solace in things like this:

Wish i had seen this post earlier. There is one Suzie Kennels in Kapra, close to Sainik Puri Secunderabad owned by Mr Bharat. He was refereed by Dr Jacob.

He takes good care of your dog. My buddy is happy to go with him and wags his tail furiously at seeing him. The only issue is that earlier he had a pick up van , but now you have to drop your pet at his place.

PM me if you want his phone number.

Exactly my feeling. I lost my Rooney, a Labrador at 6.5 years owing to a heart condition 2 months back and we have not yet recovered from the shock. The worst hit was my father and mother to whom he was their third son. My wife and my 4 year old daughter is still in tears. May be, time will heal. He was such a gentle dog that many of our neighbours and family members attended his funeral. May his soul rest in peace.

Re: Team-BHPians and their Pets

The reason I love this thread is the fact that there are a lot of pets and their pics and what they do, which I am sure every pet owner loves, but at the same time I hate this thread as well, Reason its now turning into a pet obituary. Kindly post happy moments as well. I have been longing to tell this but always stopped myself, now its getting to unbearable levels, especially since my dog underwent a major surgery for piometra this Sunday and I have to take her to the vet today for some iv fluids, the surgery was a success but when the vet said 72 hours are critical, my throat went literally dry. She started recovering and she is a very tough fighter.

I can only imagine what you guys must have gone through during your loss. Others please start posting pics of your happy pets as well, lets keep the tone on the thread more positive

Re: Team-BHPians and their Pets

Guys,

One of my colleagues is giving up their 7 month old Lab female pup for adoption. The pup is spayed. They are looking for someone who already has a dog.
Our company no longer allows work from home and hence there will be no one to take care of the dog, both husband and wife work at night.

Please drop me a PM with your email ID, I will have them contact you directly.
