Yeah it's hard water. Outer ring road is all hard water. i have the same problem.

I noticed the white spots in my cars as well and now use filtered water to wash the car.

Rudraji, 3 seconds - were you using an ND filter or something or is it just the narrow aperture?

WOW !!! Breathtaking shot Rudra. I'm viewing your composition for the first time and boom, I became a big fan of yours. I'm not an expert, but using my presumer camera. Here is my Linea picture.

Sumit, next time try to take closer view. It's not a must and if you're planning to show the car with all surrounding, frame the car as one of your composition object. Try to cut equally brighter areas (as the sky here) from the frame. You're having multiple brighter areas in your picture and eyes hunt to find the right zone as main object (area of main interest). Also shadow details are important. More you add contrast more it gets dark. I've opened a little bit from your shot here and also toned down front gray areas little more to enhance the subject.

I see, so a bit lesser saturation and try to get the main object brighter than the surroundings right? Thanks for the advice will surely keep them in mind

Excellent shot there Rudra. However I was wondering like samurai why such an angle ? I very much like the older shot of the Punto with the side profile.

Now please tell us how you manage to get the car shining like that . Definitely would like to know. If there's a work flow you follow do share that and btw its for Windows user's with CS.

Firstly, this car is some 300 KM old. So there was not much of issue with paint quality. I did see some white spot on the bonnet (on my monitor at 100% view) and removed them. I suppose those came from hard water usage for washing.

One base exposure is for the body.
One exposure is for the brightest part – headlamps/fog lamps/grills
One exposure is for the sky – toned down by 2/3rd stop.

Final blending was on my faithful home machine.

For all Photoshop users – There were six separate paths made.

One path for the whole car.
One path for the headlamps.
One path for the alloys.
One path for the antenna.
One path for the door glass.
One path for the windscreen.
