Thanks for your comments guyonblackybx , Hmmm I suppose you can get a lot closer with a 600mm, however i think you will have to use a tripod and full tele end. Mine are all hand held. Sure you are most welcome to visit the park, P.M. me and I will do the needful for your visit.

High ISO + post processing. Had to sharpen quite a bit as the 75-300 lens is a lousy one.
Effective ISO of this shot would be around 1600
I should have overexposed while shooting, that would have given a cleaner image, but then the shutter speed would have fallen.
Its for times like this I had a cam with in camera IS.
But then there are quite a few shots at night which I take where the 350D low noise delights me!
The night shot I posted is ISO 400 2 minute exposure.
I have sharpened in post processing and adjusted levels too, and yet the noise is quite less.

Anyways here are a few shots with less noise

We did not go as far as the Rohtang Pass, since there was plenty of snow before that itself.
