@Hellwrath
Nice one. I have a suggestion. when you click portraits, try and match the lines behind or in front, or anywhere in the image to line up in some way that makes you focus attention on your subject. In your shot, the pink line on the left is sort of distracting me from the beautiful subject and her amazing smile. Just my 2 cents.

An example of using the lines i see through the viewfinder,to my advantage.

Preetam,
Thank you buddy.

TG,
Agree with you on the distraction part. I do try and align the lines (leading lines esp) but in some cases, it just doesn't happen. Like this moment was important for me, so I had to click it. May be, I need to practice more . Thank you for your C&C. Will definitely put in more effort next time.

BTW, I thought the previous photograph I posted was soft and under exposed. Here is another edited version which I like better.

I understand perfectly what you said. Its tough to get the lines right. But sometimes, a simple move to the left or right gets it right for you. I look for these lines even when i dont have my camera with me(which is such a rare occasion ) , so it becomes a part of my vision. I seem to find that really helpful.

Guys!
The last couple of pages on this thread have been great. Lots of brilliant pics along with tips from the experts.

Here's a pic taken by my sis in LEH. She calls it the 'Mask of Zorro' road and i call it the Snake road.

TG,
Thank you for that tip. I'll look out for lines as well from now on.

kpzen,
That's an awesome landscape shot. Just one question, is there a tilt in the photograph or is it an illusion created by the road? I am not sure.

I guess you are the first one here with some creative aperture. The aperture shape need more smoother contours for the heart shape - I know it is difficult as you told it was just 2 mm in size! What was the material used?

Thanks, I cut out a heart shape from a piece of paper and created a filter to cover my lens with it. Then i opened the lens to the full apparture and took this pic, actually this one was more of an experimant shot will take some better shots and post.
