Glad you liked it . Its D90 with sigma 18-50 f/2.8 and Tamron 90 f/2.8 lenses.
First shot: 50mm, f/2.8, 1/180, ISO-200, aperture priority
Second shot: 90mm, f/4.5, 1/125, ISO-100, aperture priority, exposure -0.5

@TG - The Baseball shots look cool. Do you have any shots of the SF49ers or anyother NFL action ?

I have been a bit busy at work lately, but yes, have been following this thread very closely .

I agree with you Clevermax, the general quality of the photographs has improved a lot.

Shaju,
D90 has turned out to be really good for you and your needs, lovely shots bro!

TG,
As always, your portraits rock, most of us avoid the glass, you shoot through it!

Riju,
Awesome shot (island near Kundapur). The composition is just brilliant.

Here's one shot of the same flower that Shaju posted a couple of pages back. It's called Rosy Everlasting. This photo has made the front page explore, my first ever!

Thanks buddy . I think it's because it can last for a long time and resembles a rose?. It's also called Paper daisy (may be because of the petals, which actually reflect and are shiny).

Thanks Pawan and Riju .

Riju,
No special effects here, other than thin DOF with macro lens . The conversion was done with a software called Silver Efex Pro. The suite of applications by Nik software is just out of the world.

EDIT: If you meant Halo effect, then it's the characteristic of the flower. Funny though, the limited DR of the camera actually makes it glow where as it looks pretty normal to the eye due to the gradual change in range.
