Nice... Why not try correct the horizontal. A slight tilt is there. Intentional?

I'm trying to reduce my PP, for my learning curve. Did the black and white during RAW conversion. Let me give using photoshop. Thanks.

Drongo! So thats what these birds are called. I tried to capture these one day. too difficult with just 250mm reach. I couldn't manage any decent shots.

Thanks CD. I did feel a drop in quality while resizing. Center position was chosen deliberately in this one but not for all shots.

Another one from recent Kerala trip, my son fell while running and he was verifying whether any dirt in his hands. Somehow I managed to click this one. Critics welcome!

Thanks for the comment, the sole purpose at the time of clicking was to make it look like a painting, but it went below my expectations. Tree sharpness is terribly missing. Waiting for another chance to go there with a tripod !

Here you can see how massive this place is. Red frame in the image is my previous post that was taken with a 200mm (no cropping or color correction, its actually what we saw).

Thanks Shaju, its a valuable suggestion. I see the difference from your clicks, even tried some eye level clicks but that time he never gives a natural pose. This time I didnt get time to plan the shot, all happened in less than a minute .

Thank you guys for the comments on my previous pictures. I agree the focal point on the 2 pics are messed up. Tried taking a macro and couldn't get a good focus.

@Pri2: The sky is so beautiful....
@shajufx: What a shot mate. Fantastic. Having said that, do you think it would have been more enticing if the sunset was at the centre of the composition (may be that is not how experts feel just a mavericks thoughts).
@jacs : I cant better agree to shajufx's views. Anyway the subtle expression on your son's face is still kind of visible from the present view, how beautiful would it have been if a slightly bit lower . I guess you can ask him to model for you (obviously without falling down)

Sorry for this basic question, but unlike P&S cams- there is no panorama mode or anything to guide with the alignment, right? How do you align so properly, that too in dim light?

@Pri2. I liked the first night picture. Looks very good. The third picture has everything to make it a great picture. It just needs something more in the frame/composition to take advantage of the beautiful sky.

That was an awesome shot. Earlier I used to think Panos are simple and easy, but came to realize how difficult it is to shoot and then edit.

This is a pano stitch, so naturally whole lake is included in the frame, left to the sun is the end of lake. I have more sunset images from different places, but I have mostly off-centered sun in many of them.

True, there is no pano mode or assistance in the cam. I use the view finder grid lines to calculate the alignment. Its a trial and error method, but, if you keep that '30% overlap' method while clicking, it can not go wrong ! There are many cams that has no grid line display, that could be more difficult.

An action-filled sunset !
