No, I had put it at a higher ISO as its shot in the evening and the squirrel was running very fast (You can see its hind legs in the air).

Intriguing, very intriguing. How does one determine the north & south of a 200mm.

Re: The Official non-auto Image thread

Lovely images there Amith !

Pawan, did you mean Germany has no bugs at all ? Assuming you already got your 5D M II. Beautiful macros ( 1:1 ) could be tried on tiny flowers and buds too, it would look awesome.

My frequency here has reduced due to hectic work schedule and personal commitments. I utilize my free time to read and learn more about strobes, DIY projects and stuff. Already made a mini-soft box ( 14" X 9 " ) with 2 CFL bulbs. Yet to get the silk white cloth for diffusion. I am also collecting things for a 30" X 20" proper soft box for home and SB600 will be used in it.

Here is a shot using the SB600 bounced off wall through a 7"X4" soft box (bought in an exhibition months back). What I wanted was the catch light in the eyes and a seamless reflection on the black keys, and I got it.

Serious bug problem, you wouldnt find any. I dont know about summer, but during winter, I did not find any bugs.

I spend my money on Canon 16-35 L II lens, it was very costly. But the result is good. Below is one of pic taken with 16-35.

I also have made the softbox using plastic pipes and joins, and 2 table lamps with 2 40 watt CFL. The only thing I did wrong is, I used cotton cloths, does not giving softbox effect. Nice soft reflection on keyboard.

Good to hear that, cotton cloth is ok, but effect will depend on thread size and thickness, may be you are using a thick cloth. Silk is the best, you can even put double layer which is usually found in most pro series soft boxes. I need to get the cloth, stitch the boarders and fix on the frame with welcro. Will post the test shots once its done.

Btw, I find your last 2 images too dark to my taste.

Lovely image of the curve in the road leading to the sun Pawan, I wonder how a mirror image would have looked, nice!

@Shaju
I can help you with where to find the shoot thru' umbrella material, spent almost a whole day finding it in Bangalore market area. Exactly same material as you get in the Elinchrom white umbrella, my DIY SoftBox is working pretty well I tend to think..

Better. Casual shots are very easily visible dear, I agree our interest in shooting can not be the same throughout the year ! But learning is fun !

Trust me buddy, girls are no more like the old days. My elder boy is going to be 5 yrs, daughter is just 2 ! The way she thrashes him up, I cant believe my eyes. She acts funny and adamant with everyone else except me, because I keep a tiny stick and use it too ! You can only punish them now, later they will file a case against you for harassing ! Does not mean I dont love her, off course dads will have a soft corner for daughters, thats universal !
