Question for all photographers??

All Photographers on TBHP, I had a question for you guys, I decided to post it here coz didn't want to start a new thread on the this.
What is technical story behind an orb? (Lens flare right?)
what are your opinions on this?
The reason i asked is cause a friend had a bunch of pics taken with these flares and somebody said they were orbs. I thought it was hilarious cause I keep getting this when i click near a dusty environment. especially evening or at night
Please pour in your Views and Opinions.

I have asked for permission to post the pic here, lets wait and see!

MODS: if this doesn't belong here please merge or separate!

You are correct the umph factor is missing. Looks more like a normal shot. Maybe youshould ask torqueguru or theguyonblackybx who have been shooting HDR's quite well.

BTW here is one I shot.Could never set the skies rite. Had posted a similar one earlier , but this is more focused on the waterfalls itself.

Yes Sir, i read tru the above link and infact googled the same and to my surprise I read more articles on the myth or mistake rather that the mystic! Folks didn't call it a flare but explained it otherwise.
I wanted to know what was the take on this by Bhpians which i why I asked. I hope this wont go into ghosts and religion.

Mods: please shift this out if it crosses lines. and also if it doesn't belong here.

Personally have any of you shot pics with 'orbs?'

TG, awesome picture and amazing color. However, the harsh light of the branch is quite distracting.

I normally do not appreciate macro shots of subjects such as flowers or leaves or insects and the like. But this photo is really really nice. i guess that bit of black in the background really gave it that edge and the shades and slight shadows are just purrrfect great shot!
