@Mods, i got a couple of pictures which cannot be resized. I tried reducing the quality but the size is still 1.5 MB. Can anyone tell me what to do now!!

Edit. I took a screenshot of the image. Here it is but the quality has really been screwed.

me_sid, am not adept at tone mapping a single image. I thought that in this case lots of dark range will increase noise, will it not?

Post Processing - Which Software

Gurus,

Can you let me know your preferred software for post processing ?

All I know about this software is what comes out of the box with a Digital Camera, and maybe the Adobe Photoshop download that allows you to transfer and manage your photos from a camera.

Thanks for your help.

cheers
Srini

I use DPP for RAW to jpg conversion, and then use GIMP for finishing touches. I used CS3 beta for a while and loved it, but Beta downloads are free, product costs 600$. Out of budget . so GIMP it is!

Thanks, I always try to experiment with composition, sometimes it works.

I use CS4, but Adobe doesn't give freebies other than limited trials. Try Picasa 3, it is a good free tool.

Smiling Moon

Hi This is today's (01-Dec-2008) moon. It looks like smiling with 2 star eyes. Just now shot with my N85.

Regards,

I too tried to catch the smiley but could not. The smiley felt shy and hide in back of cloud.
