TG.
TG,
Like their Indian cousins the swamp deer or sambar, this pic. was shot with a 18-55mm. The deer did not see me until the shutter sound gave me away.

Tilt?

i normally view photos by connecting my camera to the tv. happened to download snaps onto the computer and i am not sure if my eyes play truant but i notice some tilt left to right in some photos shot from my canon (with 18-55 lens) and i am not talking of aliasing. this is noticeable in photos of monuments whilst potraits and others show normal. macros seem ok as well.
how do i correct this?

The croc was moving from one lake to another (maybe in search of a mate).To be honest the croc was dead tired, and would barely walk 10 steps and then rest for 2-3 minutes. I asked a park ranger if it's safe to get close to it, he replied saying "Croc cannot outrun a human, infact they need a lot of energy to run a few steps. So you can get close to him, but remember he will always have the edge in reacting first! "

@fazalaliadil
Thats pretty close! Nice!

I also came across a wild horse, it was alone so might have been a lone stallion...once i got a little close, the animal started walking towards me..damn i backed off slowly, didnt want to die under a horse's hooves!
Did a high pass filter and overlay to get the desired effect.

TG,
Very nice pic. of the wild horse and as usual great pp. I remember 10 years back on one of my visit to the zoo there was a Neel Gai (Blue bull) a antelope which stands nearly 5+ feet tall. This bull was very friendly and used to lick the hands of visitors till the elbow for its salt needs which we excrete in our sweat, the level of the open enclosure was elevated about 6 feet from us. So to get a shot on the same level as the Neel gai I got down into the enclosure and walked about 20 feet and all this while the Neel Gai was indifferent to my tresspassing, but when I was ready to shoot......I saw the it in full charge towards me through the viewfinder, there was not much that I could do, rather nothing I could do....awaited my fate.
The hell of a pointed straight 8 inch pair horns pointed at me the charge contunued, within secondsl it was inches away and then I felt the horns pierce in the middle of my abdomen (but as the almighty intervened) it stopped but left two hole kind of tear on my skin which were there for a couple of months, and then it walked away. Possibly I would be 10 years long gone had it not been for the divine intervention. That incident thaught me not to take wldlife for granted as their are inherently unpredictable.

Quite sharp and vivid shots. The last one had some emotion in it.
Btw, was the Tamron 17-50 bought in India?Or was it sourced from abroad?

^^ Thanks! The Tamron was sourced from the US. Alpha mount 3rd-party lenses are impossible to find in India - my next lens will be a Tamron 10-24, and no way am I finding that in India!

And here's one more for the thread, just to keep it going.
