Clevermax,

Very nice pic that one. Just wish the people were missing, can you clone them out?

TG,

I am waiting for "Why so serious?" pic from you.

Does it contain C2H5OH? If yes, it is against t-bhp rules to post this here.

@Hellwrath: Thanks man. Hmm.. avoiding people would be a very difficult thing if PP was not invented. I'll give it a try and post another one soon.

Clevermax,

I was kidding about cloning the people out. But if you are successful, consider me as a student for your online tutoring on PP.

Sure!! yeah, if I'm successful.. he he...

I am a just a learner of PP now... and I guess I will remain one, considering the rate at which PP tools improve over days. Now there's CS4 around, with video editing and stuff like that, and I'm still getting a hang of features which are there in humble CS2.

But I am happy that I am better off compared to the local digital studio wallah who only knows two things in PS, the selection tool and the clone stamp tool, and still he thinks that he is an expert. I have seen him working with photos - he doesn't even use a layer mask! What they do is destructive editing.

Regarding the editing in the seashore picture

-- Taken in RAW mode
-- Processed pseudo HDR in Photomatix, saved as 16bit Tiff,
-- Opened it in CS2, processed the sky to the current state - applied some curves.
-- The pseudo HDR process ruined the bottom portion of the image, so I merged that part from the original RAW image converted to tiff using a gradient layer mask over the horizon.
-- Finally converted to 8 bit and saved as Jpeg.

So the sky is from the HDR processes image, the bottom part is from the unprocessed image.
